Second visit to Lion Island off Pearl Beach. I was trying to capture more of the other side of Lion Island, with the beach, but kept losing signal if I flew too low.

A couple of small clips of The Picnic Train in December 2023 running from Hawkesbury River to Gosford. The lack od steam and whistle were disappointing for the folks lining the route.

Travelled back to England to see family and visited the Flying Scotsman at Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Museum for the centenary celebrations. Imagine my surprise, when the Steam Train also in action, was built in my home town of Darlington, presumably at North Road Shops.

An opportunity to get up close and personal, albeit via Drone, to the wonderful Lion Island, sat off shore from Pearl Beach. Lion Island is located at the mouth to the Hawkesbury River in Broken Bay on the Central Coast of the state of New South Wales, Australia. Lion Island contains the largest population of Australian little penguins in the Sydney area - not that you'll see any in this video.

Spent an awesome morning chasing the Picnic Train between Maitland, Paterson and Oakhampton. We were unable to get to the railway bridge across the Hunter River as the housing estate has grown compared to Google Maps - but we tracked around to Oakhampton and tried from the railway crossing. Another visit to Newcastle's famous Bogey Hole - the private swimming pool built by convict labour for Lieutenant-Colonel James Thomas Morisset, back in 1820. Once more into The Cathedral - an iconic location on the outskirts of Kiama, NSW. The sunrise was full of promise but never reached the wow factor - still it was a lovely morning to be on the beach, climbing rocks and flying my drone. Music by: bensound.com - "Sweet"
