POV: your ALMOND MOM at lunchtime
Our favourite almond mom Kathy is back again, this time spreading misinformation about the humble soybean (#ad). Luckily, she’s wrong as usual.
Soy is a high-quality, plant-based protein that may offer benefits for heart health, body weight management, and decreasing risk of chronic disease. The FDA even states that 25g of soy protein/day may lower the risk of heart disease, when part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. And while I love whole food edamame (soybeans), a lot of soy-based products are considered to be “ultra processed foods”. *GASP*. But aren’t all processed foods bad for you Immediately no. There is a huge difference between a glass of high protein unsweetened soy milk or a tofu steak and a candy bar. In a lot of cases, processing food simply makes it more accessible and affordable. And contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t impact hormones, cause breast cancer, or feminize your features. It’s consumed all over the world, by vegans and omnivores alike.
You can enjoy soy in soy milk, edamame, tempeh, or tofu like Jessa Belle. There’s so many ways to enjoy this high quality source of plant protein! #USSoy #sniglobal

Does soy increase risk for breast cancer? Welcome to Reel #1 in a series where I partnered with Soy Nutrition Institute Global about soy truths. Because soybeans have isoflavones - commonly classified as phytoestrogens -some women have been reluctant to consume soy foods out the fear of an increased risk for breast cancer. This fear is largely based on a series of rodent studies done with soy i...

It’s a huge red flag, when industry bias in science is so prolific, that anyone would talk in such absolutes. The truth is nobody knows for sure, not every individual has been tested, and combinations of carbs and oils can manipulate study outcomes, esp when they study animals.
My understanding is all soy products should be organic non gmo and only in soy milk, tofu, soybeans and temph period.
& Natto.
Amazing, just the expression on her face when she saw my huge load was totally worth it, I used what I mentioned last month and after the first 3 weeks or so my volume visibly doubled, I went ahead and go'ogled Jan Venstaker's Shooting Ropes and the intensity has been insane!
My oncologist told me soy is bad for me. I’m trying to not eat
I have been around long enough to watch the introduction of soy products to North America & then the dairy industry fight with all their wealth & determination to bad-mouth it. To some extent they have, over the past 50 years, succeeded in some ways & failed in others - although I think most people are told soy is ‘bad’ for you by ‘experts’ reiterating the propaganda that they’ve been pounded with for decades. There is lots & lots & lots of science to prove that soy is not only a good food but is included as a cancer preventative. Do bit of research. I am 77 year old woman & have eaten soy products daily for past 50 years. So far, no cancer AND I see almost all of my women friends dealing with thyroid issues - almost everyone I know is on thyroid meds & have been for years. My thyroid is normal. I am exceptionally healthy & I credit my soy consumption as important contribution to that status.
Its because they dont keep up with the latest research.
Dietitian here - yes most doctors unfortunately do not know much about nutrition. But Dr Funk does! Hope you’ll listen to her segment here and in other areas.

Thank you. ❤
Thank-you for information
The reason that seed oils lower cholesterol is because they oxidize cholesterol in your bloodstream. In the process, they reduce your life expectancy.
I love Dr Funk for all the knowledge she shares on Breast Cancer. I’ve always questioned my consumption of Soy (I am plant based) so she clarified a lot and left me reassured that it is OK. However at the end I was disappointed to see that it was partially funded by Soy board . See last frame. Urrrrr….always have to question and look at who’s funding the research. Now I’m back to questioning the supported research. Geeeezzzz.
I’m in the exact same boat as you! So much mixed research on this. I saw the partial funding note and in came the doubt 😢
soy shill
Tofu supremacy 🤩🤩🤩🤤🤤
I would be able to follow this if she diagrammed it because it is alot of detailed info.
Does Soy also help estrogen driven Uterine cancer??
Thank you
One thing about our today's Soy, is the insecticide sprayed on it in the fields is cancer causing , we haven't got our total act together. We humans seem to do self destructing procedures to ourselves. So be cautious consuming Soy freely.
Buy organic tofu and soy milk
IF YOU HAVE CANCER CK OUT JOE TIPPENS CANCER PROTOCOL FENBENDAZOLE RIGHT AWAY, FENBENDAZOLE REDUCES AND KILLS CANCER CELLS WITH OUT ANY SIDE EFFECTS AND CAN BE USED AS A PROPHYLACTIC AGAINST CANCER. JESUS LOVES YOU ❤❤❤
Thank you. I ordered some soy capsules last night. Worried my oncologist won't agree.
There is a 5000+ patient study of breast cancer survivors from Shanghai (if memory serves me). This showed women consuming 10g or more soy a day had around 23% lower risk of dying from breast cancer in 5year follow up. Your oncologist should be willing to follow the evidence.
Soy supplements are different from eating soy based foods - like soy milk, tofu, natto and tempeh. Supplements are highly concentrated and also not regulated enough so most probably best to stick to food.
Soy beans are beans, pretty much the same as any legume. And sugar is sugar. And water is water. People are strange.
I can tell you have a soft sweet soul. May God bless you in everything you may do. L.P.
