Just a couple of weeks after the last patch, yesterday GSC dropped a whopping (110 Gb) patch with almost 2000 fixes and additions 🤯 They're promising A-Life that WORKS!     1:40:00 When the chopper passed by me the blades weren't whirring, but stood completely still while the chopper flew along its way. 1:45:00 - You are on the GROUND floor, first floor is above the ground floor. I'm still getting used to using that vernacular I'm so used to calling the ground floor the first floor because it's the first one you walk onto. 1:47:30 Interesting... that was a unique cutscene I never got, he never threw an AK at me, had me assemble it, nothing... even in the runthrough I was working directly with The Ward the whole time.

      yeah man, first floor IS the ground floor for me, it's so counterintuitive to call the floor above that the first one... And for sure, the different pathways offer quite a different set of quests, cutscenes and lore.. the devs have cooked on this one 🧑‍🍳

    There's an additional Possibility. The Energy of the Zone and the Noo-sphere is/was being constrained, and it builds up to an emission because it is/was not being used. By "freeing " the Zone, all of that energy is now in use across the world, which may mean it might never build up and cause an emission.

      yeah, but the generators are the ones that created the emissions before, if they are still happening they probably can't reach too far (I'd imagine). In any scenario there's a lot left to interpretation, hopefully most/some of it will be covered in the DLCs 🤞

    I wouldn't say The Ward are very evil, but they definitely have some wrong ways of doing things and while they have the "greater good" in mind, they still don't go about it in a good way. I was mad at myself for joining them and letting them activate the scanner and cause all those issues. I'm glad I went back to do a Spark playthrough, because it not being my fault and me actively trying to stop it felt better than causing it due to my lofty ideals or want for a big house.

      Yeah, they're definitely not evil, no main story character is really evil in this game. You'll see how my opinion of them changes as I play. But yeah, I would definitely keep picking ward over Scar. Although he didn't directly cause the incident he seamed to not give a shit about anything/anyone the whole playthrough only worrying about the Shining!

    If you have an A-Life mod, that you used before 1.1, remove it. Those mods increased what they had access to, but as they fixed A-Life, you may have the increased spawn from that *and* the A Life mods. Also, from my testing : early areas have less things happening than "late game" areas. Probably also depending on how much of the main story you did.

      there is a weird thing that happens sometimes when I remove the mods they seem to still be working when I relaunch the game. Not sure why or how to fix that, but you could be right that that's why I was seeing so many people.

    The whole yeah whatever bish...."Proceeds to unload the shotgun" Was epic! THIS GAME though!! Emergent gameplay is more and more apparent .You can keep all those other horror, jump-scare games...The emergence is real with this, and it feel organic. Jeez imagine Stalker 3 procedurally run by AI?!?

      BRUH, this guy gets what it's about! Emergent gameplay's normally a multiplayer occurance (think DayZ), but it's sorely missing in single player games. Stalker 2 scratches that itch quite well with the last patch. And yeah, I believe they are cooking up some epic stuff for Stalker 3 🤞

      I think they've proven that A-Life is in the game, needs tweaking but it works and I didn't have any performance drops while playing

      yeah performance overall definitely needs some love. but also stalker 2 is not a gamma replacement, it's a story game, you play it once or twice to see all the quests then back to gamma

      @@moldario I'm gonna play it more than that to see the different endings, and also a few side missions can go different ways depending on what you do (like the one involving Beard and Sultan), and when you try to do the side mission (I killed Roosevelt on my first playthrough, I left him alone this time, he reappeared with his posse to another location for another side quest after the big event mid game happened).

      ​@@cmdrDiscoCat I'm not sure if a lot of people got to see the other pathways in the main and sidequests, even my expectation was that the differences will only be superficial mostly in the endgame... But GSC definitely went a lot further then that: main quests start to branch out from the very beginning, there's different ways to do many of the side quests with varying outcomes AND there's more lore depending on which side/ending you pick. That's a huge W from my side.

      I just couldn't test everything to confirm their fixes, was just focusing on what bugged me the most. mainly I wanted to see that A-Life is in there and it's working, because that makes a hypothetical GAMMA 2 much more possible and easier for modders to make. And I think that they've succeded

    Ominous yet IMO the best ending. The Zone gets "concluded" and the powers that be might benefit, but will likely propel humanity forward long-term. And Skif gets his new improved home.

    As for your questions on Ward/Military around 02 hours 34 minutes, i assume since you are on your second playthrough again you might know already but if not (or for anyone else watching this wondering as well and after I post this comment, I pieced it together like this: The military is still in. It's now called "IPSF" (International Protection Security Force) and was internationalized, but consists of the Ukrainian military and I hear now international (western mostly, afaik) additional troops wearing the same uniforms and patches. They do still mostly use Ukrainian or Russian/ex-Soviet military vehicles and tanks. Think of it like a UN mission under its own branding. This was partially or maybe primarily done to take away the official status of them being Ukrainian military and wearing the flags because I think they wanted to avoid for many audiences, at least Ukrainian and some supportive international audiences, to be actually firing on marked Ukrainian soldiers because of the war, making it ... odd. This way they dodged around this issue while giving the faction a new spin. Ward or Varta is ... trickier to figure out. It's ambiguous. What is apparent is that they are attached to SIRCAA and / or the Regulatory Board and that they are some kind of paramilitary unit using military ranks. Their actual formal standing is somewhat unclear. Some think they are corpos or PMCs, I initially thought because of the Ukrainian government (and under it, Regulatory Board) effectively having created or managed SIRCAA, that SIRCAA must be a de-facto government entity or one akin to it. So I thought Ward/Varta would be actual paramilitary civil servants like possibly Interior Ministry troops, if not Defense Ministry. They're definitely not Stalkers as they make a clear distinction towards them and do not seem to consider themselves Zone regulars. They are almost like the military in their own camo design. However it's also possible that they are sorta "PMC" formally and like Mercs, hired for a job to be SIRCAA's muscle. Given the serious equipment and manpower they can field they do not seem like Mercs, let alone the classic Zone Mercs to me. I'm personally more inclined to believe they are kind of like IPSF their own brand of government related personnel given their standing and how they cooperate with IPSF and consider each other basically comrades. Unless there is already clear dev commentary on them defining their status, I'm so far personally inclined to believe they share the same fate with "IPSF" - they are de-facto government, maybe interior ministry troops or something similar or new but they wanted to avoid making that clear and official because you can also fight against the Ward in the game so also for out-of-game reasons it was maybe safer to give them their own ambiguous spin and custom branding so you wouldn't be shooting at formal government or security service or whatever troops or personnel, also maybe due to the war. But apart from that the way Ward acts, they are de-facto (paramilitary) soldiers to me, basically the government. Given how they basically did a zone police job in a partial way already and forced to stop the warring factions with their endless wars and how they operate their own vehicles and brands on them... it's not that unlikely rather than them just being hired guns from the street. They are too professional and cohesive for that.

      this pretty much aligns with what I was thinking too. Agree on the reason IPSF has been renamed, makes total sense. Ward on the other hand I feel like could have used more details. I mentioned in a stream that you can see on the NPC's PDA that there are 2 more tabs Archive and Statistics. So we probably were supposed to have a proper encyclopaedia in the game which supposedly would give us more info about all the new factions, artefacts, mutants etc... maybe in a DLC/patch 🤞

    1:14:19 I tested many types of ammo pre patch and the better ammo only made a slight difference with high caliber rifles live SVD and SVU, but it was barely any better. Pistols were pretty much all the same no matter ammo type. Shotguns were the pre patch go to but better ammo would drop in a few. Assault rifles were like BB guns unless fighting blind dogs. It felt like the only weapons balanced for mutants from the get go was shotguns. But you had to get headshots still to end it quick. The gauss rifle didnt even kill a bloodsucker in one hit. It was rough rough 😂

      true, on my current run, I'm not using mods that nerf mutants and they definitely have become waaaay less tanky. I'm yet to kill a Chimera or Pseudogiant, will see how that goes

    59:10 I think the lore behind the ISPF is that citizens got tired of thier military being sent into the zone, so the government made them only patrol the boarder and contracted the Ward to go into the zone and work with SIRCCA(I dont remember how its spelt) instead. I dont think it was explained too much, but I remember hearing that somewhere. Could have been fan speculation, but if it is it makes sense to a degree.

    54:15 That weapon adding is only supposed to happen in psi fields but for some reason persists once you leave the area. Its what made that side quest from the Noontide scientist that I told you about so rough. It over encumbered me in mid gun fight like seven times. It was rough to deal with ontop of an army of enemies

      really?? nah man, I'm sure it's just a bug... I hope. Like why would you keep a broken as AK in your backpack if it's an illusion. Why would that persist? And have an actual effect when shot at non-illusion npcs?

    8:36 From what I understand of it, the Duga was originally for radar, but changed into the brain scorcher by the scientists who stayed in the zone and eventually became the c-conscious. I also think the Clear Sky people or at least thier leader was one of the scientists who left before c-conscious was formed. I could be wrong, never played the original trilogy, but watched a ton of videos back in the day and a lore video for recap before Stalker2 released.

      not sure about that since in the game we still have the brainscorcher area (lab X-19) and it's separate from the Duga complex. So it seems like they're distinct structures in very different areas

    2:36:21 SWAT is short for Special Weapons and Tactics. Typically made up of local law enforcement who have been trained in many different types of weaponry and can often bring in thier own weaponry if the situation calls for it. A lot of swat teams include vetrans of war. Some teams also just get military training.

    8:15:33 I feel like the devs making side missions tied to story progress was dumb. Missing quests across the map because the story hasn't brought you there yet is dumb. Should unlock more with the progress, not lose out.

    7:04:15 That quest was bugged like that for me too. Though, the door was unlocked. I talked to Gaffer and he had no dialogue option, but once I did it continued the quest to the next stage, where I couldn't talk to Warlock. Then, once I completed the quest, came back to Gaffer, then was going to leave, all the Monolith spawned in thier spots outside and the opening fight started. 😂 This has been the only bugged quest for me so far. The professor's lab door opened for me and he gives an emitter mission, which turned into the most annoying mission for me. So, you didnt miss much I dont think 😅

    5:21:34 Ledge grabbing really messes with your head 😂 To get up, you hop up on the ladder prongs next to the guy, hop onto the train car, walk arcross the beam to the other side with the ladder prongs then balance ontopof the bridge to the stash. I dont think there is any other bridge with climbable ladder prongs, so that spot is pretty confusing unless you mess around in the area.

    2:33:51 I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be military along the whole boarder, and then the military in the zone is now the Ward. I went to the Central Checkpoint the first time, and they were military. Every time after, it's been different people, all always hostile. I think a-life being bugged messed with the respawns there. I went to the dam though, and they had military snipers (who couldn't die, be careful).

      yeah they barely appear anywhere except the lesser zone, I killed a sniper at the dam though in a later episode 🤔 and I believe Ward is a mix of military and PMCs

    1:20:00 The psidogs are the absolute worst. They multiply way too much too fast. Its never a gun fight. Would be better if it only duplicated two or three for like a minute, so if you dont take it out fast it gets harder. But having it at 250% from the get go is not cool. 😂 I had one in Pripyat that took forever because of how many duplicates it had from the start and the fact that it got the attention of every other enemy type in the city because it was the most chaotic encounter Ive had so far, but the psidogs ruined the joy of it. I hope they can change the amount to be more time based instead.

    14:33 The static field generator doesn't protect against equiped artifact radiation, just general radiation. Also, the upgrade path has a two upgrade options on top and bottom, with the third option for both paths being a lead container. I find it best to just get the lead containers instead, because the radiation resistance doesn't do that much compared to two safe artifact slots

      yeah, but sometimes having more slots is beneficial. Especially for artefacts that have no downsides like Liquid Rock or the Ball one that you get from Lesser Zone

    1:03:35 Getting over weight happens faster when you carry every piece of note paper with you! Only teasing 😂 I sold every note or PDA right away, because I didnt want them cluttering inventory or stash. I run just Skifs Pistol, a DNIPRO, and the Zircon Suit with Sphere M20 Helmet and my carry weight with just that is at 38kg. Going around with a second primary and ammo was too much for me lol

    58:59 When I did this part, I got 28 zombies in total. I had so many sellable guns from them that I went from no loot to full loot with just them. I wish the base carry weight was higher or the carry weight only applied to your backpack, and things equipped weren't weighted. I hated walking back with 79.5kg. The fight was engaging though.

      for sure one of the fun ones. Also, if you want to increase carry capacity there are mods... hell I'm using one in the latest episode, it's pretty lit
