It depends on what You want from it. They should perform about the same but : Asus ROG Ally is better to travel with as it's smaller, and the speakers are amazing Legion Go : I would say battery improvement over the Ally and also bigger screen Depends what is more important for You 😄

I would say they feel about the same, but they seem to be shorter (or the body of the controller is bigger making them feel shorter/less sticking out from the controller)

Definitely a great use case for both! I personally play to many games outside of the steam system, so that wouldn't really work for me unfortunately 😄

In hand this controller is pretty much the same weight as the vanilla controller ! (PS5 - 278g , PS5 Edge - 325g , Hex Phantom - 295g ) So only a difference of 17 grams, that's pretty much indistinguishable 😄

I'm personally really happy with it, and it seems there will be some new upgrades to it before it's available ! I can highly recommend it, especially if Your looking for one that is close in weight to the vanilla PS5 controller 😄

Haha thank You ! I had to make something that would somehow convey the idea of switching/ upgrading from Ally to Ally X 😄 I personally won't be upgrading as it just doesn't seem to be worth the price for me (as I also already have 2tb ssd on it) I'm definitely thinking of making some videos about the Legion Go, but it's not a device for me ( to big, in case I would want to take it with me on our travels - like I did with switch OLED before ans Asus ROG Ally now (I already have backpack and suitcase full of travel filmmaking gear so legion is just way to big for that)) I just feel like they all are great but it's really a personal preference of what the user wants from it (like VRR and better speakers on Ally vs bigger screen and other benefits of it) 😄

@@SebastianDylagTech I didn't even think about that switching or transition from the Ally to the Ally X with that thumbnail. Clever indeed! Awesome video btw and I will be subbing for some more videos and hopefully of the Go. One thing about the Go while traveling is that you could detach the controllers and put them elsewhere. This is assuming if you're not going to be using the official case. Yes it's heavy and big but I mostly pay it rested on something. Like if I'm laying down I would rest it on the case which would be on my stomach or so. If you have space you could detach the controllers and put them into a connector. I just think it's pretty awesome as it does so many things. If you want something more portable and ok with the smaller screen than the Ally is a better device cause yes VRR and those speakers are awesome. Not having VRR on the Go isn't so bad tho as it's a portrait display so you don't really have any tearing. It could be smooth while using V-sync but I now that isn't for everyone. Yeah the speakers are ok but there is always bluetooth headsets right? 😊

While that's true with most devices, I feel like the Ally X might come out good right away, as it's still going to be like a Ally 1.5 or Ally Pro instead of a whole new "console", and so far it seems like they are improving on parts that needed to be improved 😄 Thank You!😄

While steam deck and steam OS for many, it isn't something I personally would be interested in because of being locked to it and not getting access to any online games (like call of duty for example) Windows based handhelds have both pros and cons, but I see it as mostly pros 😄 Ally x will be an amazing handheld ! (Maybe not worth it to upgrade if You have the Ally already, but definitely if You are just getting one now!) I'm sure You will love it ! 😄

It all depends on Your usage, If You want something portable and to be able to play on the couch (like Nintendo switch) and at the same time something You can dock and play on/and use like a normal PC, than this is great 😄 if You want bigger screen, and would only use it when playing at Your desk etc, then a laptop might be a better choice 😄

But i have little concern about battery tho Also , do we need a windows licence for rog ally or is it included Within it My main use is emulation stuff and building a PC that can play PC games and do emulation is very tedious so I guess rog ally will be better, Do you have any suggestions?

@@fantasysscience Windows 11 is already included and already installed. Even if You change the SSD or do anything else, You can install windows 11 free of charge. As for the battery, it's depended on usage. (there are different power profiles, from 10w to 30w) so can't really comment on that as it will depend on what games You will want to play and how much energy they will require. But for me, I can play Assassin's Creed Valhalla at 18w custom mode for over an hour I would say.

@@fantasyssciencex Box or Ps5 (i dont know if this Works on Windows) and Batterie is a Problem on the Z1 Extreme the X has dobled the Batterie. So may consider Buying this

With a dock, external monitor, mouse and keyboard, it can definitely work as a nice PC ! I've actually tried it that way for testing and it was such a cool thing to do (even edited videos that way to see how it handles it) And You have the added bonus that You can unplug it and use as a handheld gaming console 😄

Glad I could help ! I would highly advise if possible, to check them out in store to get a hands-on feel for both of them (or if in a country where you have returns like we do in Europe (14 days to return the product)) as when I saw the Legion Go in store, I was very surprised with it's size. At the end of the day it's personal preference and how You intend to use it! 😄
