What if I have a free cruise from my casino, what’s the value of my trip
Excellent video! Thank you
It's unfortunately run by UHC in the US, which - y'all must be aware of the news - it's to avoid at all costs due to the denial rate. Unfortunately the only plans that were available for me to buy were through UHC so I had no choice. They had one through America First but it had restrictions for several European home countries, including mine.
airbnb has their own insurance option when purchasing a rental. Cost is about $1 per day.
super helpful! thank you
Thank you for your response. I got a great policy with your service today and had great customer service from Bernard!!🚢
Thank you for your information. I am going on a cruise. I need to know how I get coverage for going into port and not getting back to the ship on time and then how to get coverage to transport our family to the next port and the loss of the time on the cruise. Does regular trip interruption coverage pay for this? If for instance, we take an Uber and not a common carrier and Uber breaks down or if we are delayed on our tour bus for less than three hours for a mechanical problem and we miss the ship by a small margin.? These are scenarios that I’m worried about and they seem to be excluded under most policies I have been reading. Thank you so very much for your help!
Hi Jennifer, We are glad you’re planning ahead for your cruise, preparation is the best think you can do for safety. Let us clarify how your G1G trip interruption benefit on a your travel insurance plan can addresses scenarios like not making it back to the ship on time. But also we have specific plans for cruise goers with a very unique benefit called "missed cruise connections. Let me explain both. Trip interruption coverage explained: Your coverage does include scenarios where you miss your cruise departure due to delays in your flight or other covered reasons such as traffic accidents or severe weather. Specifically, if your flight is delayed by more than three hours for reasons covered under your policy, and you miss your ship’s departure, your policy does cover the additional costs needed to help you and your family catch up to the next port and compensates for any unused portion of your cruise. Coverage details for missed cruise connections & other delays: Traveling to the port via a recognized common carrier (like a tour bus) that encounters a mechanical issue also falls under this coverage. This ensures that any extra expenses incurred in such events are covered. However, it’s important to note that services like Uber are not classified as common carriers, so delays or breakdowns in these services would not be covered unless you are involved in an traffic accident, then trip interruption will cover all of your unused or additional expenses to join your cruise. Enhance your coverage with Travel Inconvenience Add-On: Consider our Travel Inconvenience add-on for even more comprehensive coverage, which includes compensation for cruise diversions and mechanical breakdowns, enhancing your protection on the cruise. If you have any more questions or need assistance selecting the most suitable plan, please email us at support@g1g.com, or call us. Our travel safety experts are here to ensure you are well-prepared for your adventures.
And the very most important thing that you forgot to tell us don’t ever say where you’re going next
Yahoo! G1g,stunning upload,
What's up with your head bouncing back & fourth, and all around? It this covered by travel insurance?
Great video.
Hello
This was so helpful. Thanks and I just checked out with a plan for my trip to Greece.
Do i still need a $50,000 travel insurance if im only spending 2weeks in one Schengen country
Hi, yes, you would still need the required amount of $50,000 USD in travel medical insurance according to the chair, the Schengen Visa Requirement.
There is a potential problem when traveling (Cruise) from the United States to Non-United States locations. The problem is the insurance company having the ability to "Direct" pay a hospital or whatever while traveling. Paying upfront then filing a claim with the travel insurance company to recoup that money is cost prohibitive. So, are there insurance companies that pay "Directly" so a traveler does not have to worry about it?
Just went to G1G web page, what a joke!!!!
Very good improvements Zubair! 🎉 Surely the right platform for travel insurance.
Congratulations 🎉

Thank you for the review for visiting the US. How about one for Europe 2024? I intend to apply for the Non-working Spanish resident visa at age 79 and want to live in Spain for two consecitive years. The consulate requires a prepaid medical insurance policy from a company registered in Spain. DO you have any options for me? Thank you in advance
Hi Cace, Yes we have health insurance option perfect for your move to Spain. Our plan meet Spain's visa requirements and offer full coverage for two years. Please chat via web or email us at support@g1g.com, and our expert will send you the options you need.
Most people purchase travel insurance right after making the initial deposit/ payment, but I do one step further. After carefully planning for the trip (which airline to go with, which tour/ cruiseline to travel with, etc) and before making any reservations (flights, cruises, excursions), I always contact the travel insurance agency/ travel insurance company to obtain a list of no-cover suppliers. This is a list of airlines/ cruise-lines or tour companies that have declared bankrupt or have made a public announcement about filing for bankruptcy or going on strike. Once the news becomes public, travel insurance company will not cover your trip if anything happens. Travel insurance company/ agency will provide this list to you AFTER you purchase the travel insurance, but sometimes it’s a little too late as you already book the flights/ cruises. Always ask to see this list BEFORE making any reservations.
THANK YOU for sharing this valuable tip, @purplerose9041! You've highlighted an essential step in the travel planning process that many might overlook. Being informed about no-cover suppliers before making any bookings is indeed a smart move, ensuring that you're fully aware of the risks associated with potential bankruptcies or strikes. At G1G, we understand the importance of this proactive approach and strive to make comprehensive information readily available to our clients. While it's standard practice to provide a list of no-cover suppliers post-purchase, we appreciate the need for travelers to have access to this critical information upfront especially since our founders were burned by the "fine print" in travel insurance documents during there first international trip which left them with a significant medical debt which was not covered by there travel insurance. To support this, we encourage potential clients to reach out to us for pre-purchase consultations. Our team is ready to provide not only the list of no-cover suppliers but also personalized advice on how to best navigate the complexities of travel insurance for your specific journey. This ensures that you can make informed decisions about your travel plans and insurance coverage, even before any reservations are made. Your strategy underscores the importance of thorough preparation and informed decision-making in travel planning. We're here to support that mindset by offering transparent, comprehensive guidance to help protect your travels from the get-go. For anyone planning their next adventure, feel free to contact us directly to discuss how we can help secure your trip from unforeseen events. Let's make your travel planning process as smooth and informed as possible!
Fantastic advice, well done, clear, comprehensive and thorough, enjoyed it and learned a lot. What can you add for 2024 Schengen rules? I want to do a one year long trip to Spain at the healthy age of 80 ! Any advice where to get the necessary required insurance? The travel agency offered Mapfre per day up tp a year, it sounds incredible. No other insurance company has offered long term: Safety Wing, Intermundial, etc. I´ll be interested in your thoughts for my situation. I do have the Chase Sapphire Reserve but it limits coverage to 120 days. Have a nice day.

So if my cruise costs $17,048 with a refundable deposit of $3,500...should I get travel insurance for the whole trip cost, or exclude coverage for the refundable deposit?
Hi there and thanks for the wonderful question. You just want to cover your non-refundable trip expenses. That’s to make sure that you have the right amount of coverage in case you have to cancel and so that you can recoup your non-refundable expenses. expenses. You don’t wanna do more than that because your travel Insurance price is rated based on the amount that you insure. For that reason you also don’t want to be over insured and pay more for your travel insurance than you need to. The best way to calculate this is look at what parts of your flight or cruise etc are refundable if you had to cancel and then subtract that from the total that you’ve paid and that’s how much you want to insure. Just enter that amount as your trip cost when shopping for your travel insurance. 😊 🛳️ Safe travels✌️
@@G1GTravel It's not quite that simple. The cruise fare increases by $898 to $17,048 when making the deposit refundable. The the insurance for the non-refundable option is only $471 less, which means going with a refundable deposit results in an increase in total cost of $427. So in this scenario it's better to go with the non-refundable deposit.
@@charlesrhoades3106 Thank you for bringing up such an insightful point, @charlesrhoades3106. Your analysis between choosing a refundable versus non-refundable deposit showcases a keen understanding of travel planning and the financial implications involved. Indeed, as you've rightly pointed out, making the choice between these options is akin to making an investment, with the best investments starting from the price you pay for something. If securing a better price for a feature or benefit you're seeking seems like the smarter consumer move, then it aligns well with being a savvy traveler. However, it's crucial to consider the comprehensive range of benefits that travel insurance provides, especially for cruises. This includes coverage for missed connections, travel delays, emergency medical issues, and more. So, if your primary concern is protection against non-refundable trip expenses, you're on the right track. Yet, for those looking to safeguard against a broader spectrum of travel risks, opting for an all-inclusive package might be the most prudent choice. Each trip and traveler's needs are unique, making the answers highly contextual. Sure, that very well may be the case. Anytime you choose one of the options, you are essentially making an investment, and a good investment starts from the price you pay for something. So if you are able to get a better price for a feature or benefit you are seeking, then take that. It sounds like a smart consumer move. Just be aware of other benefits that travel insurance would offer, specifically for cruises, like missed connections, travel delays, emergency medical, and so on. If you are not concerned with those benefits and just want protection against the non-refundable trip expenses, great, you know what to do. But if you want to also protect against other travel risks, then an all-inclusive package would make more sense. Feel free to reach out to us at support@g1g.com or by calling us. One of our travel safety experts can help you make the best choice by diving into more details about your trip, ensuring your travel plans are backed by robust support, ready to assist in making your experience as smooth and secure as possible.
Very clear. Great presentation. Thank you!
Thank you so much, @stephenandracki3371! We're thrilled to hear you found the presentation clear and helpful. Your feedback means a lot to us. We're always looking to cover topics that truly benefit our viewers. Is there any specific aspect of travel safety you're curious about or would like us to dive deeper into in our upcoming videos? Wishing you safe and pleasant travels!
What if I booked a flight with air canada to narita japan and then booked a different flight to a different asian country but air canada decided to cancel my flight months or weeks before my trip. Will the insurance cover my flights with other airlines that will get affected by cancellation or delays made by air canada?
Hey there! Awesome question. So, travel insurance offers great value and protection for those tricky multi-flight trips. Make sure your insurance covers starts from the day you leave home until the day you get back home, and second, you include the cost of ALL your flights, and you'll be set. If Air Canada cancels that first flight and messes up your other flights, you've got financial protection against the lot expenses of the other flights. Look for specific benefits like 'trip cancellation' or 'missed connection' when you're picking your travel insurance plan because depending on weather you would cancel your trip, or if you are getting rebooked to a later flight would depend on which benefit you would use. And hey, give a G1G travel safety expert a shout when booking your insurance. They'll break it down even more for your specific journey. Safe travels!

I bought a policy through WorldTrip. Had to buy the policy BEFORE I could see the full policy. When I got the policy, I saw mandatory arbitration of disputes in TEXAS. You can opt out of arbitration, but only by writing a letter to the General Counsel of HCC insurance holdings. Next, the "validity, interpretation and performance" of the contract "shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of BERMUDA." What a way to make it so burdensome on a claimant that he walks away. And don't get me started on my "SALES CONTACT" no one picks up the phone and a recording says the voicemail is full.
Ed, I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience. We believe it's vital to understand a policy fully before making a decision. At G1G, we offer a comprehensive overview of coverages before you purchase. Our travel safety experts are here to guide you, helping you navigate through the fine print so you're confidently informed about what's covered. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us for your future travel protection needs at support@g1g.com.

Sorry to hear that Ed. It’s important to always get a sample of the full policy details (AKA a plans description of coverages) before buying your travel insurance. At G1G we provide that to you before buying and one of our travel safety experts will guide you through understanding how your plan will work in various scenarios and filter through the fine print for you, so you are clear on whats covered and whats not before buying. Great sir
This is the most comprehensive guide I’ve ever seen on travel insurance. Thank you Viz!
Still not clear...acute onset ...does it mean they have a chronic condition under control and it flares up?? If you have hypertention but u take meds and ur blood pressure is normal..if u get a high blood pressire crisis..is it not a flare up or is it?
Most travel insurance plans covers sudden and unexpected health problems that come from a condition you already have, but only under certain rules. This is called an "acute onset of a pre-existing condition". For example, if you have high blood pressure and you suddenly have a health problem because of it while you're traveling, the insurance might cover it under these rules: 1. The problem can't be related to a condition that is always there or was there when you were born. 2. You have to get treatment within 24 hours of when the problem starts. 3. You have to be younger than 80 years old. 4. You can't be traveling against your doctor's advice. 5. You can't be traveling just to get treatment for your condition. 6. You have to be traveling outside your home country. Now, let's say you're taking medication for high blood pressure and while traveling to the USA, you experience high blood pressure that needs medical treatment. If you meet all the rules above, your treatment might be covered by the insurance. But also look out for the fine print in plans. Certain travel insurance plans hide exclusions in sections such as "personal accidents”. For example, plans might exclude coverage for heart attacks, which is a type of myocardial infarction, or a stroke, because it’s considered a personal accident. For more contextual answers based on your specific needs always reach out to directly at support@g1g.com and we can guide you further. Our goal is always to help navigate these complexities and to optimize for traveler safety!
@@G1GTravel this was the best answer i could find. I wish u had sth like this in ur video so every one can have clear understanding..insurance is so complicated that many ppl choose their plans with a guessing game and end up paying more than expected... ppl who work in insurance tend to forget to complexity for common folk and when trying to explain..still come out vague and hard to understand.. thank u for clarifying with useful examples common folk like me understand
You are very welcome. It is indeed not easy to understand and we enjoy breaking it down for people so they can travel safer knowing what is and is not covered clearly. Thank you for the great feedback, it is highly appreciated! We have noted it and we will include that information on our next video on the topic! Please keep the ideas coming our way. Safe travels!

can i cancel my travel insurance even if the inception policy already start? Can i still get refund ?
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Alright, let's break it down. If you've got travel medical insurance and you're still chilling at home, you can totally cancel and get all your money back. Now, if you've got a trip protection or trip cancellation plan, you've usually got about 10 days after buying to get a full refund - just make sure it's before you set off on your adventure. *Little pro tip: Grab your travel insurance right when you put down your first deposit for your trip. It's just the smart thing to do. Safe travels!
