One Hour yoga mat bag
This is a quilting demo to make a yoga mat bag in one hour. It's a fast project because I bought pre quilted fabric and I used my Serger for most of the stitches.

other materials I used was serger thread and #12 weight thread.
I used a Bernina 480 to sew the pieces and I used the Bernette 64 to serge the body and the bottom, and strap.

As a fellow thread junkie, want to let you know you are not alone. I sew clothing, embroider, and do alterations. So thread is my drug of choice. I have over 340 different threads. All purpose thread, Top stitch thread, bobbin thread, quilting thread, fuzzy serger threads, serger thread, hand embroidery thread, machine embroidery thread, and so many other types of thread. I store my threads according two stations I created in my sewing room. All purpose, bobbin, top stitch, quilting thread are on a rack and in a case by type near my Babylock Soprano. All serger threads are beside my Ovations Serger/Coverstitch station. My embroidery thread is on a thread rack, in sewing basket and in different containers by my Pathfinder embroidery machine in categories; (glow in the dark, metallic , and satin). I enjoyed your sewing room, so tidy and neat. The pink is beautiful. May your days be filled with Good Sewing.

The stitch plates are in millimeters, NOT inches. Big difference.
I know! I’ve been trying to make a flag to point out my error when making the video.
Haha - I said "INCHES" as well, when it's millimeters. It's still really wide!

@@katjoy81 it does a lot and also you can get a lot of feet like the walking foot and BSR to quilt. It’s very easy to use.
I have the blue. But I can’t open the little container lol
Tap the lid a little. Also, they have a thin tape holding it down. Use a pair is scissors to cut it but be careful.

Great sewing room. I love the pink color. My sewing is a lighter pink with white furniture and darker bins in my IKEA storage unit that I used for overflow of fabrics and sewing patterns. I have noticed that many of us sewist have been using pink in our sewing rooms. I feel it sets the stage for creativity 😉😉

Can it do a top stich how do you thread it for a cover stich
You can do a top stitch if you remove the blade. You can thread it with three threads or four. You would have to play around with the settings.

The hook portion of these crochet hooks are not straight. I contacted Walmart and after 2 and a half weeks they sent me a new hook but it was a Boye hook and the hook part was bent to the left on it as well. I did contact them again. They said they would get the correct hook to me. I asked them to not send me anything. Pictures were sent of both hooks. Do not buy. I wasted 25.00.
Maybe you had a bad set. Mine were not crooked.

You can program the foot on the machine. to cut the thread, lock the stitch, and raise the foot. 480 - 880 can do this.
Yes I know that but I prefer not to use it. I’m used to doing it with my hand because I feel that I have better control.
The 480 does not have automatic foot lift - it's mechanical using the knee lift lever. You can program it to lock and cut the thread though. Personally (also have Bernina 740 and 750 that do automatic foot lift) I prefer the mechanical knee lift. The auto lift is slow.
