Scratch the itch, for sure! I feel like rings + bullet journaling are a match made in heaven - it can be what you need, WHEN you need it and the possibilities are endless.

A few reasons. 1. I don’t have the luxury of ‘winging it’ due to personal/professional responsibilities. Some people can keep all that info in their head, but with me if I don’t write it down it doesn’t exist, and then I drop the ball on things which isn’t a good situation to be in. Digital tools don’t work well for me, but paper does. 2. Having a physical planning outlet helps me visually stay organized and reference relevant information at a glance, which reduces stress levels 99.9% of the time. The fact that I CAN switch things up as needed is a perk, and even if your system is throwing you for a loop temporarily, if you’re someone who plans - you get this is just part of the process. Our notebooks serve US, so we shift them as we need to. Part of the purpose of a video like this is me processing how I can make sure what I’m using is serving me - the planner community as a whole is always taking inspiration from each other too - and it can help spark ideas and inspiration for others. 3. It’s a creative and tactile hobby in addition to supporting me in keeping my head on straight with the day to day tasks. Pretty paper makes me happy, if it’s pretty I want to use it, and I’m motivated to keep it updated. 4. I have ADHD and I recently lost my father to Alzheimer’s. Journaling/planning is a huge part of my mental health journey with managing my ADHD and subsequent anxiety/depression since bullet journaling is a coping mechanism and regulation strategy that has evolved for me over the last few years. With my grief journey, this is way for me to process the way I lost my dad. Writing things down and keeping these physical archives makes me feel witnessed - even if I’m the only person who ever sees them - because I would have given the world to have any type of journal my dad left behind and remember asking him several times to write down his stories and experiences, and he never did. So, I can’t just “stop planning,” nor do I want to, and hopefully this puts into more context why. 🖤

I do use Click Up with my VA, but personally it takes 10x longer for me to use something digital for my tasks day to day - I lose things. So, I do need to stick mainly with paper and maybe have a singular 'master task list' just on the notes app!

Update: we’re switching from click up to asana 😅 since my VA primarily uses it she looked into some options and decided Asana is the most functional for the business needs. So I’m letting her take the lead on that 😅

Honestly I feel this - the only downsize is if I get TOO many things going, I don't know exactly what to trust so I'm hoping getting back into just one singular book will help keep my data more viable for where I'm at with certain things!

Standard size is just so cozy!! And I'm sure it will work, it's what I was doing before basically - nothing new, just going back to my roots and combining the same workflows but back into a single book :)

I've actually tried that in the past, but between the battery life and how long it takes to get INTO the digital tools it's not for me. But I do use my iPad for other things, and it can be a great tool for some people for planning/task management!

And likely more flip videos vs. plan with me videos; right now with work it's hard to keep up on a weekly video but 1-2 vids a month is doable. 🫶🏼

@@colleen5236 I’m glad you feel me LOL!!! And yeah, even with the book switch the WAY I track things doesn’t shift much, so the novelty comes in being able to set something up or move into a new cover or size for sure!

That's what I'm planning on doing :) I ordered some 25mm ones from the Moterm website, and I think that will be just the ticket to have all the inserts I need without the rings being too much in the way!

Aw thanks! I love it too :) Idk if I have a favorite, as I've never done pocket before, but it's sooo good to know I can fit all the things I WANT in pocket, for when I want something tinier.

Thank you! It was a hard day, but spending it in my college town actually brought back a lot of good memories of my parents visiting me. My dad was so supportive of me during my university studies, and loved coming up to visit to see me in my college town :)

The outside is the velvet sand and inside is nubuck ecume :) They are gorgeous! I did protect them so they're a bit darker, but I actually prefer it now since I baby them a bit less haha!

Thank you! And yes I get the FOMO aspect - I think that's why rings is so good for me, because it allows me to pull in what I need or leave what I want without a bound book being left unfinished. :)

Yeah I’d this wasn’t such a little book the 400 pages only overwhelm - but in general her books are just good quality and I love the paper!!!

The regular freely noted are also great, I love those in the TN size 🫶🏻

It's quite fun! And it's so little so it's VERY low pressure and it's WAY lighter to tote around with me for the odd ball rogue thought that needs to be written down. Lol. Now my hobonichi cousin can maintain it's beautiful chaos! LOL

Close out routine is huge! 🫶🏻 I do this 1-2x per week; mid week and end of week usually!

That is a tricky one! There are some ways to do it but it also depends on how you’re otherwise tracking your workouts. Are you talking from workout to workout, or another interval? 🤔

@@elenamplans I suppose itd be workout to workout, but week to week would probably show the progression quite well too. (Also thanks so much for all the replies! ☺️)

@@chelseag3365 So week to week would make more sense, unless you're wanting to do manual calculations for things like 1RM - or use a digital calculator but even THOSE calculations aren't great. I would advise just tracking in an app on your phone, or in notes, versus manually tracking it (unless you have a notebook dedicated to logging your workouts and it ONLY gets used for that). Otherwise, it becomes metrics more for vanity vs. actual usable information, because strength gains aren't linear. Some week's you'll be stronger, some week's you won't be, and leveraging 'progressive overload' isn't always about doing more weight/reps :) Idk if that explanation helps, but I can do a video on how I would use a manual 'workout notebook' that's easy to carry around the gym!

Honestly I didn't realize how much using DO2P quieted the noise in my brain. If I see the day before, I might feel guilt. If I see the day ahead... I might feel overwhelm. Solution: just put one day on two pages and ignore the noise 😅 And YES this cover is so squishy, I love it!
