I’m sure he knows his surroundings better than I, but seemed from video at least, he was a bit short on altitude in a few areas, but I have to say he’s flying a beaver in the back country, for money, I pay to fly a Cherokee around the traffic pattern.. so I’m sure he is most likely much higher than it looks, clean plane, great pilot , and the absolute best back country flying in the world..
This is how aviation videos should be. It has always made me wonder why anyone who fly's puts music in the video when the sound of flight is just remarkable. Thank you.
Like Canada I imagine there are many settlements in Alaska that rely on float planes with a decent cargo lifting ability for their very existence. On tick over the R-985 sounds like an overgrown Harley
Marvellous, though I would have liked it even more without the post-production flashing gimmicks and framing to make it look like an old film - it doesn't work and is just annoying. Well done for not adding music though.
Okay. I give up. What is the make of the PFD / MFD electronic instruments right in front of the pilot? I've been trying to find anything that look similar online. Intrigued.
Looks like flying into Ketchikan. I used to load air freight for Coastal/Tyee air back in the '70s and flew on some runs as well. De Haviland Beaver is a great plane!
Man, this was so relaxing for me! As a tourist who frequents the USA a lot I would rather know these small towns and their people, have dinner at a seaside restaurant or enjoy the forests and the wilderness than visiting The Big Cites. Reminds me of my childhood flying cessnas with Dad (:
The transition from Earth to Heaven and Heaven to Earth were joyous, however I couldn't tell when that actually happened. This video has inspired me to become a much better pilot. Thank you! 🙂
Yes, Heckman Lake. Friends of mine live in Clover Pass, was trying to catch their home from above 😁 I have another video posted with pure sound from this flight on my channel
My dad used to love to hunt at Heckman. They would rent the forest service cabin and fly in. Later they lived further down the Naha at Orton Ranch. I need to get back for a visit.
Dang, that one lake has more trees around it than I've seen in my entire life! What an absolutely _gorgeous_ area of the world! And, what an absolutely _gorgeous_ aircraft to travel in!!
It belongs to a company named SeaWind Aviation out of Ketchikan, Alaska. Pilot appears to be Steve Kamm, the owner. This is a chartered, air taxi, or sightseeing flight, which is likely why it is so maintained.
Thanks! good scenatio for MSFS. The clouds still need to be worked on, they look a bit unnatural. And I would change the rain. Otherwise, everything is almost like in reality!
What a beautiful plane, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
YES , NO MUSIC , WELL DONE

Electric flaps in a beaver? Blasphemy.

You welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting. Means a lot.
Thanks for not putting any dumb music in this amazing video. The Beaver's sounds are music to my ears!
100% Thank you for watching
It looks like you took off from Heckman Lake. I loved seeing Knudsen Cove and Clover Pass. It did make me homesick!

Very cool! A lot of fun to watch.

Good video. Only it would have been nice to have a close-up at the end where the aircraft comes up out of the water.
Close up with gopro simply impossible
Sounds like a V-8 in a car !
3:36 Precise mooring to the pier from the move exactly to zero. Great job!
is that a sony stereo? guess not too much to hear on flying radio
Nice plane! And nice job keeping it so shiny!

This is reality. No games here 😊
@@peterusa6985🙂 Anyway, thanks for this beautiful flight. I fly a Beaver in MSFS. I am from Yakutia, we have places very similar to Alaska!
Reminds me of an old Crysler
