Great video and It totally makes sense, your reason to use the improved clinch knot with the hard bait. The hook sometimes snags the leader in the casts! I’ll be trying this. Good to see local fishing!!

I caught my biggest tarpon off a dock in everglades city a captain estimated it at around 240lbs

Beautiful! I live not too far from here, ans im about to start fishing it and figuring it out. I have a small bass boat and a kayak, so I intend to stay in the creeks near town, not out in the bay. Any pointers for that area? I'm familiar with reds and trout, but in a different region.

Been using the trick shotz in the lower Mosquito Lagoon for going on a year. These things are money! I’ve been throwing these almost exclusively for reds and snooks. The other is the Kicker Crabs. Both on videos I’ve seen from CA. You’ve made me such a better angler!

I LOVE Mosquito Lagoon (really all of Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, etc), it's such a shame what's happened but it's so amazing to see all the hard work being done to restore it! Anything we can do as the public to help would be great to know!! Cheers and tight lines 🎣🤙

Nice to see our lagoon getting some love. Shes come a long way over the past few years. Still a long way to go though.

It’s great to see the quality of the lagoon coming back. As Justin said we can not get complacent. We need to be attending city and county meetings and making sure they are paying attention to water quality issues. From the perspective of not only an avid angler but running a bait and tackle directly on the north end of the lagoon I have seen some great improvement in the fishery in the past 2 years. The snook population has also exploded better than I have seen in over a decade.

It’s funny as a fisherman when your buddy starts catching them we’re not always quick to change to the same lure because that would admit defeat 😂

Love the ZMan GOAT on the spinner bait. Who knew a bass-oriented flipping creature bait would snag so many saltwater fish? I love them for both over here in the St. Marks River

4:10 Having had several Mirrodine hooks embedded in my hands from trout and ladyfish I never handle a fish w/ a multiple treble lure in its mouth. A dehooker is easier on me and saves the fish's slime coat. Excellent video nonetheless.
