DIY UTV BOOM SPRAYER CHEAP AND EASY!
I just wanted to share this build of a UTV boom sprayer. Sorry, I kept calling it an ATV in the video! Enjoy my co-star (my son) and I hope this is able to help someone else out!
Here is the link to the spray nozzles I used: a.co/d/8X3WyQc
Here is a link for the tubing: a.co/d/0xRi08C
The tubing is 50ft not 100ft like I said in the video, sorry about that!

      I run it on 24volt at 80 lbs and it does great in the wind, you can add a 3rd battery and get 100lb thrust on 36 volt but I haven’t seen a need for that yet, been in some pretty strong wind and it holds up.

    Your PVC piping is a 1" pipe through an 1.25 pipe and the T around the 1.25 is what size?

    • @gabecordova8025
      @gabecordova8025 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The long piece of pipe that goes down into the water is a 1 inch piece. There is just a short section of inch and a quarter that I have it ran through and then the T is 1.25 that reduces to 1” on the side that the ram mount attaches. So the 1.25 pvc pipe just buts up to the 1.25 T. I think you can see what I’m talking about at the 1:10 - 1:30 mark in the video. Hope that helps!

  • @richardishmonjr1104
    @richardishmonjr1104 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Two things... first...I got the 1" ball on my ram claw setup as opposed to the 1.5"... will that make a difference... second... could you explain the PVC setup... what stops the T from sliding down the 1" PVC pipe...

    • @gabecordova8025
      @gabecordova8025 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1” ball shouldn’t matter as long as all the fittings fit together. On the PVC set up, The T does slide up and down the pipe, I epoxied a small piece of 1 1/4 pvc just below the T so it can’t slide very far in that direction, and then the elbow at the top of the pipe keeps it from sliding any further in that direction, hope this makes sense.

    • @richardishmonjr1104
      @richardishmonjr1104 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Gabe...I traded back and went with the 1.5 setup... yes, I now understand the PVC rig... the pole does extend down below the pontoons right... did you use any particular epoxy?

    Hey appreciate you sharing this great idea! What's your opinion on where I should mount the new 93sv unit I just got? I have the same pontoon as you and I always fish from the bow. I was initially thinking of putting the unit at the console but it would be difficult to see from the bow even with a rotating mount. Thanks!

    • @gabecordova8025
      @gabecordova8025 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that going to be the only graph you have on the boat?? I definitely recommend mounting it at the bow, you need it to be right there where you’re fishing. If you don’t have another graph I recommend adding something cheap at the console so you can find structure while driving.

    • @MackZero
      @MackZero 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gabecordova8025 ok yes I’ll have another one already installed at the console. Any recommendations on where to mount it on the bow? Deck, maybe on the railing? I think it would interfere with the mooring cover possibly.

    • @gabecordova8025
      @gabecordova8025 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MackZero I’m not really sure if your pontoon is like mine or not, but I have 2 storage compartments, one in each corner at the front of the boat. I mounted mine on the lid on of one of those compartments, you can actually see it behind me in the video. This also allowed me to put the other components down inside that compartment which is nice. If you don’t have that compartment then I would recommend mounting on the deck and using a riser to get the unit up to the right height. It would definitely interfere with the mooring cover if you put it on the rail, so you would need to put it on a removable ram mount just like I did for the pole mount.
