Pretty Boy Paint Fest 2024 in Albany, NY
มุมมอง 124 หลายเดือนก่อน
Roughly 85 painters from Instagram traveled from all over the world to Albany for the Paint Fest! Many of us have become friends and visit/ work with each other frequently. Many of us have known each other for years but hadn't met in person until this event. A powerhouse group of like- minded professionals just gathering for good food, lots of fun, and lots of paint talk. A big shoutout to Bria...

Organization is key
Great idea! I just started using a Festool systainer but I need to upgrade with the foam factor😮
That a cool venue
@@ateveshumway8491 You'd never know it was at a former Air Force Station.
Cool brother 👍
I don't feel the screws are needed. Woodepox has a crazy good bond.
You don’t use purdy?
@@markgavina8129 I can't stand em. Bottom of the barrel in terms of materials and quality. I was all about Oldfields brushes. Now they've been rebranded, SĀMO BRUSHES.. they're really a cut above the rest. Much finer material quality and they hold up much better.
Like your “ drywall “ box. Great it takes the hawk
Staalmeester are the best. Used them and their brushes here In Scotland all the time. Liking the Milwaukee kit, great set up.
Awesome video Tom
That will leave a mark🤙
@@ateveshumway8491 "And on the day that truck was totaled, so the marks were washed away" 😂
Pretty great, I am building a similar set up with dewalt tough system. What do you use to store your trays and pelican buckets?
Very useful mate, I have the packout system for our guys to. Each of us have a dolly, 2 drawer and a 3 drawer that holds all our own gear, works a treat. I be keen for your garage space rundown, see how you store any stock too and what you store. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for checking it out!
What kind of green rollers were that? You said style Meester.
Staalmeester. They're a Dutch company, they make some VERY fine brushes as well.
@@TimSeatonPainting thanks for the response. Where do you get them?
Check out the new husky rolling tool boxes
What material are you using ? Looks great 👍
Thank you! I used USG Diamond Veneer plaster, primed with Benjamin Moore 046 Fresh Start, and finished with Aura.
The thing that's protected that wood the most is BEING INSIDE
Obvious, but that's kind of unrelated to what I was showing here. The fact that the old brush marks had left visible texture differences in the wood.
@@TimSeatonPainting yup, I agree, paint goes a long way, our neighbours don't bother painting their side of the fence which renders our efforts for its longevity useless by painting our side. And now they want a new one because this one is 'warping and leaning' (actually it's purely an aesthetic desire since this fence type doesnt match their other fences panels opposite) you shouldn't be surprised by paint though, paint exsists for a reason
This is a joke? If so, ha ha ha. If not, bro, I think the boards texture existed before paint was applied, yes? The paint covered the high points, didnt the low points.
You can clearly see the difference between brush marks and wood grain. Especially where it overlaps the top stile on the left. Those peaks and valleys are not part of the grain.
@@TimSeatonPainting - roger. I'll have to watch again on PC. my phone is too small to see. If correct though, that would be a very fascinating observation. How would you explain it?
Very interesting
I bought a flexible filler the other day for the cracks in my plaster upstairs. All of it is cracking and got much worse after they put a new roof on my house and were working up there. Mostly from the corners of my windows up to the ceiling and along the ceilings. Nothing is crumbling down or anything just lots of cracks. Project for a rainy day lol.
Best to catch it while it's just cracks and shore it up.
What brand hand masker fits in that ammo can???? I bought that for the masker and my 3M doesn’t fit
Two of the 3m maskers fit mine each facing the opposite way. The blade tucks in just right to one side of the center
been a painter for almost two years now.. been trying to figure out storage etc.. i’ve tried so many things.. it’s good to make a video like this..i did try the packout twice..i couldn’t find a way to make it work..i do have tough system but using the sherwin williams bags for paint and one for drywall ..i noticed you have a pickup truck.. are you ok with leaving the back open?.. i have a cover over mine so i lack the space
Thanks for the comment. I don't mind having the back open, although I do end up tripping over myself when the truck is full of stuff if I don't keep up with it.
Much respect! Very professional
Thank you!
Just Saw your Facebook post so I started to follow your TH-cam, can't wait to see some of your great work . I'm up in Northern Maine
Awesome, much appreciated!
What an awesome job to see in person😮 great job on that one Tim 🤙🏻
It was a privilege to have you and the guys stop in to see the project man. 👊
Looks like a lot of work but so worth it for such a beautiful, historic house!
Nice work 👏
Thank you!
That was an awesome project Tim Subscribed be watching for more
Looking forward to learning a lot about the processes.
