Learn Look Locate was founded in 2018 as a global movement of critical education for the early detection of breast cancer. Cynthia Jordan, Founder and CEO, is a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer, even though she had annual mammograms. Immediately following her diagnosis, Cynthia realized that scrambling through the anxiety of the internet, coupled with the need to self-educate about her disease and possible treatments, did not help her level of extreme anxiety. Cynthia decided that she would do all she could to ensure other women would be aware of the importance of early detection, as well as diagnosis and treatment options available, and-perhaps most importantly-the Community necessary to help women find a place for answers and support. She did not want anyone to not be informed on all of the information she discovered once being diagnosed, and she wanted people to be empowered with as much knowledge as possible, but in a calm and soothing manner.

Does the patient have options or does the surgeon come into the room and tell you what his/her plans are and that’s it?
This is such important information ❤
I was on anastrozole and leterzole. The side effects hit me really hard, and I am planning on stopping them. I am a grade 3 and stage 3, with an onco score of 87. Both drugs were affecting my mental health to the point in which they affected my job. I had great anxiety, and my attention deficit was so out of control. I became paranoid of all possible negative actions that could happen to me throughout my days. I couldn't focus my attention on completing any task and so much more. When do you lose your mind to save your body? My oncologist would like me to try either exestame or tamoxifen. I am terrified 😨
Are mammograms and ultrasounds useless for diagnosing IBC
That's a great question!
What about inflammatory breast cancer isnt that always amputation
So glad I found this! Very informative. I just started letrozole and so far so good. I believe I'll be doing 10 years due to my ILC diagnosis.

thank you so much!
I wish to God I had seen this before I 😢 had my double masectomy. I felt totally lost and overwhelmed.
Has any tests been done on repurposing ivermectin or fen ben for cancer?
How does this test differ from the “Predict Breast Cancer” Tool available free online with immediate results?
Your videos are so informative and educational. Thank you for your work on helping us to understand breast cancer and MBC as well as highlighting treatment advances.
so grateful for Katrina for sharing her story to help so many women know more about inflammatory breast cancer
When I found out I had breast cancer, I wanted surgery immediately. I couldn’t stand the thought of cancer in my body. Diagnosed, biopsy, and surgery all within 11 days!
How did they diagnose. Why a biopsy after that
@ flowers3036 Hello! Here’s what happened. I found the lump, then went to the gynecologist to have them feel the lump. They ordered a diagnostic mammogram and while I was there, they also wanted to do an ultrasound. After the mammogram and ultrasound, the radiologist came in the room and said she thought it was cancer and we needed to do a biopsy to confirm it was cancer. She did a biopsy while I was on the table. ( It feels like a needle going in and they take a sample of the tumor to send to pathology.) I was called a couple days later confirming it was cancer. At that point, I called my friend who’s a radiation oncologist and he quickly got me on the schedule to see the breast surgeon and I also had a consultation with him for radiation. Sucks to have the diagnosis, but blessed to know people on the oncology side as I used to be a radiation therapist.
@@flowers3036 I’m sorry, I had responded to you awhile back, but it looks like my comment was deleted.
I just got a letter back saying I have breast density category D. Thank you for this information ❤
Im literally so sick. I try to distract myself but it isnt working 😢. I have that bad feeling that they are going to find cancer . I had several possible distortions in both breasts a possible mass as well. I have dense breasts as well. Im just shook. No one wants to think about it and just keeps reassuring me im fine but my gut is telling me otherwise. Also this diagnostic mammo costs $1000 out of pocket 😢. What a mess. Yea i could really use someone to talk to ...
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm recently diagnosed with male breast cancer on 1/10/24 ive got DCIS 😢😢😢
I was never told my risk for having dense breast either! My Invasive BC was found during a breast reduction!! I had a “perfect” mammogram prior to my breast reduction surgery. Thank God, due to having such heavy breast causing constant neck pain, I decided to have a breast reduction surgery.
Thank you for this discussion. Not just a the important issue of dense breast, but also the impact of calcifications on breast health. I received information about calcifications on my screening for years. Not once did anyone state that calcifications could lead to a breast cancer diagnosis.
I love this!
Thank you for this information!! I’m struggling to stay on Anastrozole with the aches and scared of bone loss. I’ve been on tamoxifen for one year then anastrozole this past year. Do they keep the initial tumor sample to use for the breast cancer index test? Can you take the BCI test only two years into estrogen blocker therapy?
Thank you for your time Dr. Singh and Ms. Jordan. 💕This is very helpful. I will ask for this test at my next appointment to make my intentions known by my 5 year mark.
Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ I agree completely
What we need is focus on Prevention. I ignore Oct Pinkness.. Most people are aware of this disease. 1 in 7 women now will be diagnosed in their life time with invasive breast cancer. I am a little over a year on my BC trip. I Was very LOW risk. We also need different treatment for HR+. The hormone blockers are not easy with the horrible quality-of-life-disrupting side effects. The benefits for me do not out weigh the risks. God bless you all, do what is best for yourself.
Should you be doing a 3d scan then an untrasound before you do a biopsy
Hi Doctor, Do you perform 2nd opinion for breast images ? What is a few small groups of atypical aprocine epilethial cells admixed many foamy histicytes? What is the procedure after having this dianosis?

78 years old and under decided about taking hormone therapy at my age. Chances of it coming back. It’s a recurrence now. I chose not to take it the last time of side effects. I tried it and it didn’t work for me..
Great video! Would love to see one on AIs. Have to start taking it after being on tamoxifen for 2 yrs. I read the side effects and the list is horrific! Stressing me out…
I’m 77 years and I really don’t want to take this. Just wondering how long it takes for it to come back.

Thanks for the video. What is the 3rd test which is for everyone who’s not under treatment? Thanks
This video is so good; it should be part of the curriculum.
Thank you for paying attention to the whole person. I got diagnosed with DCIS, stage 0, grade 1, in my right breast on 3/29/2024, following bilateral biopsies. . At first it felt like I was rushed, to see the surgeon, to schedule a date, etc. I decided I needed a 2nd opinion, which was the best thing possible. It gave me time to breathe, to do research on DCIS, to find the decision making tools I need to make treatment decisions. I had a lumpectomy last Thursday (6.13.2024), and waiting for the pathology report is hard. But I have real trust in my team, backed up by the 2nd opinion at Mayo Clinic, so I hope I can move ahead with whatever the next step is. I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, & am used to processing lots of info, but the best thing I've done so far was to slow the process down long enough to get good information, & to be able to manage my anxiety well enough to think straight. I appreciated your straightforward approach, & how important it is for the patient to be seen as a person & to be a partner in decision making.
So glad you saw this-we are working hard to make sure people see how hard this is emotionally for anyone facing this difficult disease-see the link www.learnlooklocate.com
So glad you got a chance to hear this incredible interview, I hope you are doing well!
@cynthiajordan619 Thanks, it's now 3 months pot-lumpectomy. I am happy to report that my surgeon removed all the cancer, & I decided to forego any further treatment at this time, based on a great deal of research & with my medical team's consultation. I had some challenges that slowed my recovery from surgery (allergic response to steristrips, seroma, infection) as well as needing to fire the first radiation oncologist I saw, since he wasn't interested in collaborative decision-making, but I now have a great medical team on board. There are still the challenges of the breast asymmetry, but I will talk with my surgeon when I see her in another month. Plus I've learned it could take another 6 to 9 months of healing before it's actually clear how my breast will look on it's own. My team referred me to a therapist specifically trained in scar massage, a resource that I had no idea even existed. Having providers who treat me as a partner has been so important!

You do amazing work!! Thank you❤
What about Aromatase? You mostly talked about Tamoxifen. I’m very interested about Aromatase.😏
You got a very bad audio system. A lot a noise liked your flushing the toilet.
I could barely listen because it was driving me crazy!
When the dr says hormone positive cancer relapses more often, later 5-10 years; is this with pre menopause women or menopausal or both?
