Why do you have so many knives and batons etc? I guess the good thing is you have tons of weight to drop so you can actually carry and use this, how much of that will be ruined or unuseful first rain? What do you plan on measuring while trying to survive? It just kinda seems like a bunch of stuff was just thrown in there and not given much thought, you have some good items just way too much you dont need. Get out and use it, go for a hike and stay out for the weekend with JUST that kit and nothing else. Dont add anything to it, just grab it up and go. You'll see what im talking about pretty quick lol, but thanks for showing anyway. Its a never ending process 🤣.
It's not heavy I am still working on it a lot will change the battle cleaver is my machete and I have used it around rivers and it was getting wet and I do believe in testing out my gear to make sure it's not junk the expandable tonfa I have found it to be a very useful tool the spring baton was me trying it out to see if it will stay or not same as some of the knives I have been working on this kit for years now trying to get it the way I would like it I have tried backpacks US Military Alice gear I have been thanking about how I can improve my kit a lot of it I will be changing it up I'm thinking one knife and a machete and the tonfa thank you for your comment God bless you and your family
@junkyardsurvival thats what I would do is perhaps pick a bigger fixed blade knife, smaller fixed blade knife, victorinox pocket knife. Just make sure whichever ones you pick are reliable and sturdy, a kit seems to be always changing, especially with all the new stuff coming out all the time lol. A good way to do it is only pack what you need more than what you want yanno, obviously water, shelter, fire, food, wet weather gear, warming layers/socks etc are good to have. If I had tools and time during surviving a shtf situation to make any weapon out of my valuable limited resources or even making a weapon prior to needing a weapon for shtf preparedness... nunchuks would only be made by me to give to people I just really wanted to see get their ass stomped upon in any shtf situation (or any situation outside of a martial arts competition with rules for participants)! 😂😂😂
In the US Army survival manual they talk and describe how to make what they call a sling club it is basically a homemade flail I don't see no difference between nunchaku and a flail yes both take time to practice to get good at to me it's good to know how to make tools and weapons if you find your self unlucky enough all you have is a pocket knife and that is all you have on you so my question to you is if the US Army is training on improvised weapons why can't I do the same thing all I was doing is making them look nice for display on a wall and using what I have at my disposal thank you for your comment God bless you and your family
You can save a lot of time and work by going to you local hardware store like Lowes and purchasing a handle from the garden section. It will come already round and smooth. You can even find them made of a stronger type of wood like oak. Then all you need is to measure it, cut it to size and drill the holes.
It would be I'm just doing it for fun and enjoying making nunchaku oak is a wood I would like to make them out of all I have is a 2x2 pine and using what I have thank you for your comment God bless you and your family
Great system and video, does seem to be a bit heavy and not low profile during a shtf situation, however that's some great gear that could probably keep you alive for a long time. Personally I have a bug-out jacket(very easy to carry) and an INCH(I'm never coming back home)bag. A thing to consider is a fish trap as during a shtf situation, you're not going to be able to fish, you won't have the time, but if you dump a fish trap in a river and come back to it in a few hours you have dinner that takes like 0 effort to catch.
It's not heavy I can lift it with one hand that was my goal to make it light enough to lift it with one hand. I will have to look into getting some fish traps. Thank you for your comment God bless you and your family.

Swiss m71 emergency stove
The spikes are ok. Those caltrops are junk and so are the dragon chucks.
The nunchaku are made out of foam and are for training. The caltrops are ok.
Don't buy cheap crappy stuff. Make your own. Be a man and make youre own. All you need is an angle grinder and a small vice. For less than a hundred bucks you can have both front harbor freight. Then you can find any thick metal and a piece of chain and a broom handle and some long nails. Heck just search around your house. As a man that fixes everything at home, I've got all kinds of weird pieces of metal and nails and over tge years 8ge aquired tools of all sorts from my grandfather's and my neighbor that is in a nursing home. Make your own weapons at home. Make them the way that you want them and learn how to use them your own way.
I don't mind cheap gear if it's made good. I do believe one should know how to repair and to make your own gear.
There is a lot of room for streamlining this set up sir. It is my spare bug out bag that I put extra gear in that I accumulated over the years I put it together because I have family that don't believe in being prepared. Also really good tip on fire starters is take a bottle of hand sanatier, put a teaspoon of salt in it and shake it up. This turns the gel into a liquid thats petty much pure alcahol and will work in any condition.

Glock 81 knife is a great knife and choosing a knife I would go with one that is comfortable in your hand and well balanced and for folding knife I like Swiss army knife and for a stainless steel knife Bundeswhr combat knife from smkw is a good knife out of the 2 knives I would go with the Glock 81 knife thank you for your comment God bless you and your family

Look into a hatchet /axe over a knife and a foldable saw. Also remember emergency heat blankets and communications aka ham radio
