I hate these kinds of stories of the partner disappearing and then reappearing like nothing happened and it’s never expanded upon on why they left. It’s just plot hole after plot hole with these kinds of stories. I also hate that the main character is so easily forgiving and lets the person who hurt them deeply back in their lives when in reality that would never happen.

This story went on and on for way to long.

How about we leaned in to kiss it was soft and electric he slid his hand up inside my untucked shirt and gently onto the left centre of my chest over my wildly thumping heart. He said I thought I could hear your lust and then held my hand against his heart it was pumping hard in his broad toned chest and whispered do you love my heart as much as I love yours. I lifted his shirt and kissed his tender heart I could feel his beautiful life against my lips.

I know a lot of people that are dangerous but they never got in the way of my happiness. So for Railey to say that he was trying to protect Jasper from said people it was just because he didn't want to tell Jasper the trurth about himself. Railey was afraid to let anyone in until he was ready to acknowledge his own feeling for Jasper. Railey is selfish for not telling the whole truth about what was going on with himself. What a coward.

Truthfully, I’m not thrilled with this whole guys being a doormat. This is the second style of the story where someone just basically disappears on the person and. He never fully explains who “they “are. And truthfully, I wouldn’t wanna be with someone who is a murderer or anything like that if that’s what he was. And what if they come back. I know it’s a story and I’m happy that it’s a happy ending because these always end in a happy ending, but I feel like it’s sometimes sets a precedence that it’s OK to be a doormat. I mean six months dude. He couldn’t have just said there’s something you don’t know about me and I am in danger and you’re in danger, please don’t look for me in a letter.

20:08 I love that Riley says he wants to explain to Jasper why he disappeared so suddenly and went no contact and his explanation is that some bad people threatened him so he left. He can’t say who they are, what they wanted, where he’s been, or why it’s suddenly ok after 6 months to get in touch with him.

It would benefit each of us, and all of us collectively, to see the possible narcissistic tactic used when saying “I don’t know if I can wait when I’m already ready.” As if Alex’s decision is the only one that matters. Translation could be… my needs come first and your needs do not matter to me. And the more obvious tactic “I’m more than willing to withhold my affection until you submit to me”. That is a clear threat and one that, if taken to heart, can send an open, straightforward, good hearted person like Oliver into a depth of manipulation none of us deserves. Alex may have “hooked” Oliver through Oliver’s fear. That is not love. It is the manipulation of an object. Narcissism is a warped survival strategy I’ve spent years trying to understand. To understand free of judgement. Something we must all apply ourselves to understand if we want the world to get through the next few years. Hooking us through our fear just like Hitler, Hirohito, and Mussolini did in the 1940’s. They dragged us into war and ended over 75 million souls in WW2. Half of these souls were themselves which tells us their “Me not We” strategy is in fact anti self survival. The bombs are far bigger now. Many stories hide the acts of manipulation within the idea of “love”. Like a brain washing. Most authors are likely brainwashed themselves. Especially those of us, no matter our gender, who buy into the cult of toxic masculinity. That’s likely most of the world. The cult that conned us into thinking that forceful domination is strength. That money is power. The ones that conned us into thinking we aren’t pretty, wealthy, or smart enough. Too much of capitalism sells to us through our fear. On a deep level most of us know that bullies are not strong. In fact they are lonely, traumatized, and terrified. Lashing out like a snarling cornered animal. But what happens to the world when smash and grab is all we know? I see now that we are just too selective about what we see as bullying. The animals, vegetables, and minerals (that share this world with us… that support our existence.) can certainly tell us EXACTLY what bullying is. As we give them no life to experience then demand a cut off their 🍑 just because it’s our birthday or a game is on. The horrific shredding we witness in 🍉. That is exactly what the animals in a slaughter house feel like day after day after day. We must face this reality. We must face our own fear, greed, brutality and see the forced hierarchies we have bought into. Why do I write this comment? Because I love these stories, and BL, for helping the revolution that is crushing the cult that teaches us, especially boy children, to be ashamed of our emotions. This planet is on a path to extinction that we can only escape by facing ourselves and then teaching others to find their courage as well. It is a challenge but one I have 100% faith in us overcoming. Faith over fear. I do not judge this story. I simply point out what makes me uncomfortable and what may be unintentionally hidden within. Listen to your unease… understand where it comes from… and you are facing your fear. ❤️‍🩹💪🏽💪🏼🌏💪🏾💪🏻💖

I loved it. The narration was perfect. I could visualize the chemistry between the boyz. Ahhh. To be so bold as to stand up for feelings that, if remained buried, so much would have been lost. Friendship. Companionship. Work. Fun cafe jumping. Just ... It's such a wonderful story. Your voice makes the characters come alive.
