You like Mindfulness but Vipassana tortured you? I did not get it. I think you should go to any Psychiatrist because you are saying, you like Mindfulness (Vipassana) but Vipassana tortured you. 😂

After all the truth is painful and it cannot be digested by everyone. People find a way to escape the same. They don't want to face themselves. And Vipassana is all about facing the reality as it is in its true form. Hope you understand this and make yourself mentally strong to face yourself and reality as it is.

In Arabic literature, love goes through 7 stages (sometimes expanded to 14 stages), they are: 1.Dilkashi (attraction) 2.Uns (attachment) 3.Ishq (love) 4.Akidat (trust/reverence) 5.Ibadat (worship) 6.Junoon (madness) 7.Maut (death)

She's right! Meditation shouldn't be a torture session. What works for Buddha won't work for everyone. Besides Buddha himself practiced various meditation techniques before finding Vipassana. And even after that there no guarantee of enlightenment. They say it will take many lifetimes to get there. I have been doing Vipassana for over 10 years and I can see that many who come there look at it as a session ofself boasting, pride and show off. They are bound by the rituals and aren't flexible enough for changes. It looks good because it's rigorous and it's a common misconception that things that are hard always garner admiration and many want that sense of power by calling themselves Vipassana meditators. It's all a sham. Meditation shouldn't be hard. It should be easy like river flowing in its natural course I have stopped going to the center's because it's a waste of time. If you are mindful and present in your thoughts and actions. You can meditate anywhere anyplace. P.s Many expert Vipassana meditators have their opinions. Keep it to yourself. I don't wanna hear your b s. Because after leaving the center nobody even got the time to pick your calls. So, f k off with your advice

Suhani isn't an experienced vipassana meditation practitioner , according to her meditation is just like a pill to her..but in reality vipassana meditation is of seeing the reality as it is , first seeing the reality of ourselves and liberating ourselves from all sorts of miseries. I have been practicing vipassana for 3 years now.

Must read this before you go for vipasana Dont think they will be teaching you meditation to increase focus, concentration etc. they claim its a method to exit cycle of birth and death so first decide if u want to exit this cycle otherwise you'll end up practicing hours for a philosophy to which you never subscribed in the first place. Even if you want to exit cycle of birth and death, you will be told that this way of self torture is the only way, and nothing else works, no no there is just no other way at all, impossible, case closed. So decide if you want to sit through such narrow visioned narasisict speaking for hours You will be threatened that this is a 10 day operation and if you leave anytime in the middle you will suffer in such a way that even they cant help you if you come back (literally Mr. S.N Goenka’s words). And on last day you'll be told that “shudha dharma daanam” is the highest form of charity, hence you should donate not assessing how much you ate and how was accomodation but with open heart and as much as you can. So decide if you want to sit through a practical sales tactics 101 class. Now the “shuddh dharma” are all concepts of equinanimity, imperminance, righteous behaviour, past and future lifes, etc are directly copied from bhagwat GITA, (some with exact slokas) but no credit is given to GOD. So they removed god from gods own philosophy and rebranded it as shudha dharma. So decide if you are willing to sit through 15 hours of atheistic, manipulated philosophy. ( You cannot skip or leave the lectures) If you dont know how to swim, jumping into pool and stroking hands and legs continuously for 10 days in hopes of learning to swim is an extreme measure. Vipassana is exactly the same. It is extreme 10 hours per day forceful meditation with noble silence ( you cant skip it or talk about your experience to anyone) you most likely will just sit and start imagining, fantasizing and waiting for class to end so decide if you want to go for such impractical, extreme ways of learning. Youll be asked not to believe most of religions practices cuz they are all heresay and are not your first hand experiences and then in the same breath will go on to say that with vipassana one can see atoms in body even though, im pretty sure, he dint see atoms himself. So decide if you want to sit through such hypocritical lectures You will be told that body's tingling, prickling, trembling etc sensations are because of some anger you stored from way back or even from several lifes in the past. And watching them with equinanimity is the only way to zero out your suppressed emotional bank balance. So decide if you are okay with spending rest of your life watching you bodys sensations. It works miracles for someone facing trauma, because they basically are running away from thoughts and this extreme excercise of continuously bringing your attention to body tingling sensation is literally whats sets them free from thoughts. So they start to advocate in favour of this extreme act. decide if you are carrying your trauma which can help u pass this extreme feat. My tone is surely not in favour of vipassana but im not a narcissist. This is my opinion and my opinion only. I just wanted to share this so someone can use their 10 days of time judiciously. If you are a okay for the above 8 points then you most definitely must try it out and i really hope it works miracles for you, because 10 days are worth a lot. Best of luck

I used to be a very sensitive child. By time pass, i numb it all out because of stress or anxiety. You see, i used to laugh so hard i pissed myself on two different occasions but on the same theme connect this two events. Funerals and listen to the pure agony and shock on the way the adults are. It's the first time i saw an adult cry. Theur voice dive deep into my chest.. grpping my heart like phantom hands. Ever time they cried, they sound like whales. I fee like underwater with blood rushing to my ears and their hallowed sound playing cello via my heartstrings. It strikes every nerves in my body .
