Great question. We didn’t get close to the rock bell but could see it from afar. If you have interest in flying to a specific area maybe some of the balloon tours can accommodate. However, keep in mind that hot air balloons are at the mercy of where the wind takes you. Our pilot was extremely experienced and knew and had onboard gadgets to see analyze speed and direction. Moreover, he was in constant contact with the van that followed us to the landing zone. The pilot targets a landing zone but just like in our case we took the second alternate landing zone because of a few variables encountered such as another balloon maybe landing near by or airspace restrictions.

We were there early July but also went to some attractions sometimes past off hours since Iceland had extended daylight.

It is unfortunate to hear that your tour got cancelled. I hope they provided you an answer as to why. They do tours all over the US perhaps you can reach out to their customer service dept and express your displeasure and they can give you a voucher / discount for the inconvenience.

Thank you for supporting our channel. Sylvan lake was a favorite of ours. It had a lot of fun activities people can do such as swimming, kayak/canoeing, hiking, or just sitting and enjoying the view. It was a pleasant surprise.

We used Captain Bruce (cptbruce.com). Our boat captain made our trip enjoyable especially for our kids. I wish I can remember his name but he had a Hawaiian name and I think he went with “Mike”.
