Fatum Surfboard Review - The Floyd Single Fin
After testing most of the boards at Fatum, we decided we would report back to you on one of our favorites. Did we both like it? What did we give it out of ten? Dig in.
Hello folks and welcome to TWO KOOKS Reviews.

Our mission is to bring honest, unbiased and insightful surf product reviews to the attention of you! The viewer...
Many of our reviews will be of products from small, lesser known companies that we feel are deserving of your attention.
We are going to focus on four main aspects of each product that we are given the opportunity to test:
1. Innovation - Is the product something new or innovative? does it
fill a gap in the market? Or maybe its simply better( or
worse)than products that are already available.
2. Quality - not every product can be a new or revolutionary idea.
We believe that there are a lot of products that can be produced
at a much higher quality. Surf hardware and accessories are not
cheap, and the quality varies significantly. Our aim is to highlight
companies and products that we believe are doing that little bit
extra to bring value to you; the customer!
3. Price - Is it fairly priced, does it represent value for money. We
understand how hard most people have to work for their
money. In our opinion a lot of surf products are overpriced and of
poor quality. We have spent many a hour and hundreds of
emails, getting in touch with companies that we believe offer
something better.
4. Environmental sustainability - Eco products are all the
rage....Unfortunately a lot of surf industry marketing money has
been devoted to convincing buyers that X product has eco
credentials. A lot of it is BS. There are companies out there
trying to do the right thing, and we hope let you know who they
are and why there goods are eco positive.

      Hi AJ, this stuff really lasts well, we have had the same set on one of our boards for over 2 years and it's still going strong.

    I bought these, the grip is not bad however all of the grip pads peeled off third time i used it. Literally the sticky side and the grip side of the grip pad split apart. Now i have a hypto crypto that needs probably a few hours of work to get beach in the water.

      Before you put on any type of pad make sure you fully clean the board with even a dab of acetone to get it all 100% ready then super lightly sand it where you’re putting the pad it should never come off if you do it right!

    I see you have the RSPro traction on there too, but I cant find a review of it on your channel (or any other solid review of these pads for shortboards on TH-cam for that matter). Did you review them already?

    • @surfbunker778
      @surfbunker778 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. Nino, we have a written review on the RSPRO traction but nothing on video yet. Here is the link to the review. surfbunker.com/blog/planet-friendly-front-foot-grip-from-rspro-tested

    I want to try it. But I hate the price. And what scares me is if the board is cracked or delaminated, reglueing this will be messy. It can be reused since I have reused pads. Is tedious and has to be done right so the glue won't be visible.

    Nice review, legitimate product and two legit blokes, I like the NBS style fellas. So I surf the East coast and North Wales through the winter. I have never used a Needessentials so I don't know how warm their suits are - Is this 5/4 hooded going to keep me warm or should I plumb for the the 6/5/4?

    • @vaughnsigal4560
      @vaughnsigal4560 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Search NORDURLAND on TH-cam by NeedEssentials, that'll show how good their hooded suits are at least haha

    • @isaacrigby
      @isaacrigby 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a old quicksilver 4/3 wetsuit, and I can stay in 8c water for about 3-4 hours, so a 5/4 would be very good for you, a 6/5/4 would be very restrictive as one of my friends said he finds it hard to breathe, so I would recommend the 5/4 hooded for winter surf, only if you get 1-2 + waves every 30min
