Excellent message!
Not christian, but from another religion that wears vestments, this is very helpful information! Thank you :D
READ THIS WHOLE THING: PRAY FOR ISRAEL. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel. Mark 1:15 THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN HIS HOUSEHOLD? THEN PLEASE REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS TODAY, AND GIVE ALL YOUR LIFE TO HIM, WHOSOEVER READS THIS MESSAGE. THE LORD IS GOOD, AND NOBODY IS OUT OF THE CANDIDACY FOR BECOMING A CHRISTIAN. THE TIME HAS COME TO REPENT OF FEMALE "PASTORSHIP", INFANT "BAPTISM", ALL THE THEOLOGY THAT HAS TORN AWAY OUR CHURCHES, THE CONDONING OF LGBT PRACTICES, DRAG QUEENS, AND AB***ION, AND OTHER THINGS THAT HAS TORN THE CHURCH DOWN. MAY GOD HUMBLE YOU ALL AND LEAD YOU TO GREAT REPENTANCE AND SUBMISSION TO JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.
The sound is very weak. Please turn it up!
Boy, oh boy, some people just didn't listen. AND nobody commented about Lord of the Ring!
An honest question: Does this Pastor NOT believe in itinerancy? Because, if he does believe in itinerancy then, what "he" thinks or promises means very little. The Conference can move him at ANY TIME and decide to install new leadership there. Which means that your "next Pastor" can be a progressive who will decide to do any wedding (yet another change at the GC) they deem fit to do. That's really is what is at stake... What happens with the NEXT Pastor...or the NEXT one after that?
Gosh. Praying for this church and the leadership. Please don’t be led wrong.
He needs to look at Paragraph 2553 again. Nowhere does it say that Africa or the central conferences are excluded from that paragraph. That was due to a judicial decision, not due to a plan by the Traditionalists. To say otherwise, like he did, is straying into misleading. This is only one of the many opinions that he threw out there as fact, which he should probably refrain from doing in the future
Indeed there still remains a way to “disaffiliate” and provided by God Himself. Matthew 10: 12-15. A building is a building and not God’s church. Your walk with God is precious, please do not let a building determine who shepherds and disciples you. ❤
So let me get this straight; African churches with their community laws would have a tough time with pro-gay parameters? So, the UMC will honor manmade laws in foreign countries but have no fear of God on this and other issues??? May God forgive you for your willful ignorance and sin.
Africans got 33% of GC votes but represent nearly 60% of all Methodists. How about a fair distribution of votes? One man, one vote?
Letters to African delegates were sent out very, very late - if at all. Not all got invitations. They knew 4 years ago that the processes were slow. Speak to Africa Initiative or other Africans. The pastor is either ignorant or, being very economical with the truth.
5:25 ha ha - has this guy ever even heard of the Episcopal Church? Things which are optional soon become mandatory.
I wonder what the northeastern section of the church thinks about this speech “don’t worry y’all dont have to have them gay preachers and weddings here at Bartlett! Stick with the UMC!!” 😂. Sounds like a 1960s democrat: “don’t worry about the Democrat party policy change they’re not gonna make us integrate the Negroes down here in the south! Stick with the democrat party!”
Lordy mercy having to explain all that nonsense 😂
that’s the kind of “explaining” that a bank robber does to a bank teller
The UMC has not cared about the book of discipline for a long time. A gay bishop, gay clergy have been around for years. This pastor is not speaking truth.
this guy’s speech is hilarious
We should accept everybody with love, but what we should not do is celebrate sin have somebody in active sin up preaching confusing the children of Gods order.
Are you gonna be of God or of the world?
And regional choices means you’re no longer united
No, I’m pretty sure Jesus drew imaginary lines on the ground and said, “If you’re standing on this side of the line, then this thing is a sin, but if you’re on the other side of the line then it’s a blessing.”
I and our choice and me me me I feel that’s all I hear. How about we just stick to the word of God
amen
This is why us catholics use bread wafers instead of loaves, my man is literally banging bread into the paten, it'd be hilarious to see a priest banging a baguette all over the altar
well done. Will use in our liturgist boot camp.
I asked to be baptized and the pastor asked how would I like to do it. I told him, like Jesus was baptized. He told me he was hoping I would say that, because it is the most meaningful and authentic way of being baptized. He said, I don't think you will regret that decision to be baptized in that way. On the same Sunday man landed on the moon, after the church service, we went down to the Intracoastal waterway of the Socastee swamp, behind Socastee Methodist Church, and I was baptized by immersion in the water there. (Just as many had done fro over a hundred years in that church). Full immersion best represents the death to the old man dying to self, and put in the grave (plugging beneath the waters) and then rising anew into a new life in Jesus Christ (as I was symbolically resurrected from the water, a new creature in Jesus Christ). This outwardly and symbolically expressed to all who watched, a reality that inwardly occurred when Jesus washed me with His blood to provide forgiveness of sin and the regeneration that occurred when I became a new creation in Jesus. The real baptism is conducted inwardly upon my heart and soul, as conducted by the Holy Spirit, and water baptism outwardly expresses, to the watching world, as they witness my profession of what occurred to me inwardly I will never forget the authenticity of the meaning of doing my baptism in that manner, and I am so, so glad I did it in that manner, and so, so glad I didn't chose another way. The meaning of doing it in the authentic manner is so much more rich in symbolism and meaning. When something is dipped completely in the water, it becomes completely wet, identifying with the water. I completely identified my whole self with the death and resurrection of Jesus The Christ. If the water is also symbolic of washing myself of sin, then washing completely (by submersion) symbolized my desire to be completely washed of sin, not holding back any dry spots in my life, that was not washed. Pastor Jack Watts of Socastee United Methodist Church, was very right when he told me I would not regret choosing to be baptized in that way. Thank you Pastor Watts, for guiding me to be baptized in an authentic manner that incorporates the full meaning of baptism !!! I will never, ever forget the intensity of meaning of that moment and what it still means today. DZ
Empty platitudes. Write a book with your life. You sound like a beatnik at a poetry jam.
What an awesome guitar player!
That Clarinet Player was amazing!
I love your sense of humor!😅
This is sacriligious.
i love the fire jokes
Baptism must be fully submerged in water nd baptized in the name of Jesus Christ
Baptism by pouring is perfectly acceptable and all baptisms MUST be performed in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
@@MrHeathjones299 I only want to be a help Jesus set the example to Fulfill all righteousness being baptized submerged in water being baptized by John and baptism must be in the name of Jesus Christ obeying Acts 2:38 which fulfills Mathew 28:19. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost only describes the true and living God
@@larenphillips9673 Baptism is not valid UNLESS performed in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. This is not a negotiable topic. You're probably a Oneness Pentecostal, and believe that everything you do is scriptural. IT'S NOT! Your salvation is on the line because you have not been baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity.
*Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Came across this trying to understand “Real Presence.” I learned nothing.
Study Catholicism. This isn’t real liturgy.
I'm not a theologian, but my understanding of this Sacrament in the Catholic context is this... While the eucharistic species does not change in any physical way, it becomes the Body of Christ in substance. The crucial term "Substance" is the same one that connects God the Father and God the Son with the Holy Spirit - all Three are God in terms of their Substance (hence the Son is "consubstantial with the Father", as we say in the "Credo"). Again, I'm not a theologian, you may want to consult someone to double-check if I didn't confuse anything. For me at least it was important to understand that the eucharistic species becomes the Body and Blood of Christ in the same "substantive" way as Christ is One with God the Father.
(by the way, I'm a Catholic, but I'm Polish so I've never seen what the Eucharist looks like in a Methodist Church - although as I'm finding out there are two small Methodist churches in my city)

I don't like your jokes bro. You should be thankful and give respect to communion. If you're knocking or banging onto the bread, don't make jokes about it. What are you even doing seriously!
Thank you for this sermon today 10/22/2023. Thank you for this blessing of compassion.
Same for me but for Jack
No audio until 14:36 plus a high pitched noise throughout. Very odd. Very measured response. Best wishes to your congregation.
Bartlett, Tennessee?
Well i auppose Jesus was a boy at some point and he would have had dreams.
Really enjoy these🎉
There are many times when the sound is too low or absent. Please look into this. Thank you.
Do you still make videos? These are cool. ❤
Jesus is not about stained-glass windows, fancy churches, bibles, and constitutions! He was about the poor and the needy. He encouraged people to live for others and did not preach the message of sin, the Old Testament, or ceremony! Where is this focus for Methodism??? Christianity has left Jesus to dwell on scripture-worship and a moralistic religion of appearance and constitutions! I give Methodism, and Catholicism 50 years! Young people get it and stop going to church after leaving the nest. They refuse to live for self-centered selfishness which is where most traditional churches are right now!
I’m so sorry for your loss!!!!! 😔
Sending my sorrow to the family
Thanks for saving this video. Lovely to hear some classic on the Kimball orggan
I’m feel so bad for you
As a Lutheran I was surprised to see a whole loaf 😂 is there any theological reasoning for that?
Good question. Lutherans typically are extremely congregational, so maybe there's something about "the whole body being present" That's important :-) That's just a guess though
SO SAD; THIS PASTOR SEEMS TO BE A CLOWN. WOULD YOU LISTEN TO HIM??? SHAME
Women commit the sin of covetousness when they desire a office the word of God prohibits 1 timothy 2, 3 . 1 Corinthians 14: 34. By all means people have the free will to do what they want . But it doesn't stop it from being clearly and biblically heritical
Perhaps you should have mentioned that the majority of bishops and other leadership simply ignore the parts of the Discipline they do not like.
Truthfully, they do the same with the Bible.
You have walked away from the Bible.
