Rafael Nadal: Adios Roland Garros | Tribute
Hey guys, I had to create something about Rafas last match at Roland Garros. It's not much, but I will definitely make some bigger tributes in the future again.
His - probably - last match against Alexander Zverev made me think about all the memorie Rafa gave us at Paris and the French Open.
Thank you. Merci. Gracias.

Can’t speak for everyone but I’m sure people of my age bracket that got here on the tennis scene at the onset of the 2010s can attest to the sentiment that there was nothing like Rafole man. For those of us that were late to the party and didn’t get to experience peak Fedal this was it as the THE premiere rivalry for me and going from a kid that woke up at 3 AM in the states for AO12 to someone in my mid 20w now that still felt that special feeling in the air every time these 2 were slated to play all the way to #60 this yr even if we knew winning was probably a pipe dream. That particular passage from 2010 USO to 2014 at the end of Rafa’s prime that you highlighted in your older Rafole vid was one of if not my favorite arc of our man’s career having to scale the mountain again after Fed in another GOAT tier player entering his prime except this time he was the bad matchup for Rafa not the other way around. Even though he got me to a point of never fearing for my fav against any other player like that after 2011, always will look back fondly on that period and have a greater appreciation for Novak for pushing Rafa to dig deeper than I thought possible to hit back considering this was the first guy to come along and be able to go blow for blow with so many of Rafa’s best qualities in whether that was baseline dominance, endurance, or mentally. You can have your critiques about this rivalry like after that point it was too much of each guy just hammering the other on their fav surfaces and that after that time period where it peaked in the 2010s it wasn’t as consistent but boy when this Rafole hit there was nothing like it. Just all out physical and mental war on a tennis court with so much skill and will on display. Fan wars sorta ruined discourse around the rivalry through the 2020s but those of us that lived through it can appreciate the history we lived through. Loved the video(s) now on their rivalry as a full start to finish retrospective on my fav rivalry. Really captured all these details at every stop along the way and appreciate the work you’re doing to keep pushing out such quality and thorough videos that take us back to the good old days despite how hard TH-cam and copyrights can make it for you creators.

I like the way you used musics and audio mixing is close to perfection. And it's funny how this rivalry is perfect to introduce Carlos ;) This rivalry was so great for tennis because it was close so many times. I'm curious to see how Rafa's retirement will impact Novak (Roger's one was for Rafa, never came back after, even if the principal issue was physical), now that he has done everything, if he's able to find the extra spirit to win Slams again. Wimbledon 2022 was the last tournament where Nadal was playing at a very high level and I wish his body would've allowed him to finish it as he was playing with huge confidence after winning the AO and RG. Maybe he could've forced himself to continue with heavy painkillers or maybe the pain was just too much to deal with. We were just 1 match away from having a Nadal vs Djokovic Wimbledon final for the first time since 2011 and it would've been played without controversy like the 2018 SF being played under a roof which was always going to favor Djokovic. This one would've been fought fair and square under sunny conditions with no roof.

Nadal, well, i said everything what i think about that guy, doesnt matter any more. I know you are his big fan, and power to you. But i think this rivalry could have finished way better than it did, still each man choses its path and reponds in front of all mighty god in its own way. In the end, no one escapes. And justice gets served one way or another. Nadal, and Federer were the steps and motivation Novak needed to have to become the man he was destined to be, a goalpost to chase, so thanks to Fedal for that i guess. And thanks to them and most of their fanbase for being dicks towards Novak as well, when Novak needed their support the most, as that to motivated him even more to reach even greater heights 😂 Anyway, cheers 🖐

@Steevy84 Im not hating on Fedals, i love these guys, they are main source of inspiration for Novak to kick ars 😂. Jokes aside, Rafanatic is the real deal when it comes to making tributes, the guy has a tallent. And it doesnt matter whether i have a positive or negative oppinion on his favorite athlete. I do not need to hate on peoples work based on that, hating is not a good thing in any case. I dont even hate on Weakdal, i just like to remind people to separate an athlete from an actual person that this guy is, and if the only language they understand is trolling, then so be it 😂. Nadal is not a very good example of a sportsman as he is portrayed by the media and his most devoted fanbase. What we do to others, or for others, when the going gets tough is what defines us. And Nadal and his uncle, well, lets just say they failed that test. People like Opelka, Isner, Pospisil, Sangren, those kind of athletes should be real rolemodels. Not because they supported Novak and are good friends with him, but because they spoke their mind when the going got tough, and never backed down.

What a horrible comment, Rafanatic makes a very beautiful video of these 2 champions and all you can find to say is your resentment. Rafa is not responsible for Djoko's choices at the AO nor for his ouster but your hatred blinds you and you are incapable of appreciating the story of these 2 men, this kind of video is not for you. I pity you.

After I read your ignorant comments, I looked at your handle name. It definitely suits you.

@@andyroo9381 Not everyone can be so intelligent like you lol😂😂😂 I think you are a hardcore Nadal fan who ignored the unsportmanlike comments from him at the AO 2022 and the facts who the GOAT is. But it's okay I am not expecting anything else.

Thanks so much for these videos. I didn’t get a chance to watch it yet (NFL playoffs now), but I’m sure it’s GREAT like your other videos I do find it crazy that you already have a 90 minute video on this rivalry & now another 70 minutes while you just have a 30 minute video for Federer and Nadal

Seriously, you should be hired by the ATP tour or whoever is in charge of promoting tennis and make documentaries for them. Every one of your videos is TOP NOTCH. I’ve watch almost every one of them and some of them multiple times

When djokovic said he thought he could win against nadal in 2006 french open quarter final, he was being dead serious.
