It's terrible to see a 7 year old car already need a transmission. Even a lack of maintenance it still shouldn't have failed this soon. I guess they just don't make cars like they used to.

This battery was in the trunk?

What special tool did you use to remove filter cap

Maintenance? All i hear lately about Toyota is there cheap transmissions . Stubborn about an 8 speed automatic transmission that Toyota obviously never tested properly . Starting with around 2017 . Never tested them properly just like the junk cvt . It is beyond annoying to pay the outrageous amount of money they charge for new cars to then beta test really expensive part . Seriously , it’s 2024 and they all are no better at making vehicles than decades ago , if anything has been a decline. I owned a Toyota quite a few years back . It was going through a lot of oil . Again a cheap part that was not tested properly . There was a recall and what made it so irritating was my Toyota was diagnosed as having the recall issue . But the Toyota dealership told me they were only allowed to make the replacement of the affected parts if my vehicle was going through a certain amount of oil . (How stupid is that) if my vehicle is confirmed to have the issue as a result of the recall what the heck does the amount of oil loss have to do with it ? So my test showed a tiny fraction less then the required amount of oil loss . It was a decent amount of oil loss , so i had to leave there frustrated at how horribly Toyota treats there paying customers . Fortunately i just went to another Toyota dealership . Explained my issue and that it was confirmed that my vehicle had the issue from the recall . The guy i talked to just told me , don’t worry we will make it happen . Sure enough , he took care of it . Toyota is not what it used to be anymore .
