Having grown up in Sunderland I thought I would explore an area I was unfamiliar with - Sunderland's East End. I found this video incredibly informative - it takes you to places few locals would have been to. The history of the area is perfectly portrayed and narrated and shows the local sights as never seen before. I moved away 30+ years ago but am looking forward to returning in July for the Tall Ships Race 2018. I will definitely visit the Boars Head Bistro and will make a point of following the East End Heritage Walk.
