In some situations, the effect can cause an error during rendering. E.g. on the very beginning of the clip, the effect tries to take the frame which is before the first frame of the clip. It is easy to solve: take an unedited clip, apply the effect to it, create a compound clip, and then trim the clip. If you need those first frames from the start, in the Perturb modifier, change the Value parameter to be the same as Strength (or the same as Strength + 1). If you need frames from the end, make the same, but with a minus sign.

DCTLs that you sell is with source code or encrypted? (while intresting to see how did you create the effect) Is it possible to use 2 inputs in DCTL? Like one as input RGB and one as distortion map for example

there is no "one size fits all" solution, but the only thing that comes to my mind is try to find other people like you, small artists and producers, try to get knowledge and experience through them. im not a big art guy, but i want to tell you youre not alone. we the lost and unrest kind, the socially awkward and unpopular must fight and dont let life get to the worst of us. modern times became our bane, but we shall never giveup, as in our fight we shall find meaning. be strong
