One way to protect yourself against these fakes is to compare it with the image of the actual coin on the PCGS or NGC website. This particular coin did not match the PCGS imaged coin and was a different toned color.

I came across a few of the same not to long ago on EBay. Some different dates and even Chinese symbols on them.
Seems to be a lot of them out there right now.
The fake PCGS holder fell apart. We tested the "coin" and it's actually silver ! but it's a fake.
Wow, now I want to crack mines out and test it as well.

Toning is not a sure sign a coin has not been dipped matter fact a lot coins that get dipped tone over after so it just depends on the type of toning

If someone wanted to get one of those graded, I assume the grading company provides the case. How much does such a massive and rare / unique (being 5 kilos, not fitting in standard grade cases) coin cost to get graded? Super cool coin btw. I strive to have a 5kg and 10kg coin silver coin one day. Also really want a 1kg gold coin eventually, just a smidge out of my budget currently :p
It is an NGC Mega Holder, the largest size they make. Just upgrading to that holder costs $250 + Standard fees and of course the killer that is shipping. Good luck with your collection, if you need any help finding large world coins let us know!

Just silver price alone it's over 4 grand. No idea what the rarity of it would add to the cost. Just guessing I'd say 6 to 10 grand if you could find one for sale
