Under the Covers: "Lett å la seg friste" by Trang Fødsel.
One of my favorite tunes by Trang Fødsel, from the album "Hammock", released in 2007, and is one of the most summer-feely albums I know of.

The Good Old Days: Ken Dodd - Best Performance (March 1st 1974)
มุมมอง 162Kปีที่แล้ว
Another treasure that was lost for us all on March 11th 2018. Regarded by most as the "last great music-hall entertainer, Sir Kenneth Arthur Dodd never laid down his good humour, his chaotic approach, lengthy showcases and, most importantly of all, his ever-famous "tickling stick." Our hearts have sung with laughter, tears and rousing cheer with his performances, and this video falls very near ...

An homage to one of the best songs written by Eric Idle for Monty Python's Meaning of Life. Or an attempt to, at the very least. Enjoy!

A song I wrote a long time ago. Can't even remember what year. All I know, is that i felt in some kind of spiral between realities and possibly a little bit prophetic about the end of the world. Luckily.. I was wrong!

A national treasure
Bernard Cribbins was simply fabulous in everything he did..today’s so called entertainers should be ashamed at their lack of talent. We miss you Bernard! X
This is how you capture an audience. Underplayed - effortless - hilarious.
Irreplaceable ❤
The Good Old Days on Friday nights was watched by millions. No internet then, if you missed it then you had to wait decades for the internet to come along. We are very lucky. The BBC had a tendency to 'wipe' shows from its tapes as tape back in the 'Good Old Days' (lol) was very expensive. Now, of course we realise what cultural vandalism that was.
I love the way in which even the people in the audience are dressed up in old-fashioned music hall costumes.
What a unique talent this man had, so sadly missed. The line 'its what we call in show business a shaft of wit'! 😂
He said when he passaway bbdo nt be sad bebbhapppy 😮
Met him at rutland fishing a few times, nice fella, tight lines up there blue.
Too wonderful for words.still miss him today.
Unprecedented. Unique. Unequalled. RIP Doddy.
I only saw him live once, probably around the time he did this Good Old Days performance. I was quite young, so don't remember it that well, only that we were all in fits of laughter. We will never see his like again. Today's so-called comedians could take lessons from him.
I saw him when he was well into his 80s; he did four hours, 8pm till after midnight. What an amazing talent. Tears running down our faces; fantastic evening.
Loved watching these shows from back then when I was a kid in the 70s, born 23rd May 1968 from northern Ireland UK
Brill!. RIP Bernard!. Nuff said.

So lucky to have seen Sir Ken live. Never to be forgotten
Such a superb performance, the mix of recall, the quality of the writing, the singing, the gestures, and the timing as he responds to the audience, it's all there and it's just wonderful.
Where did Britain go?
Wow just wow never will we see the like’s again loved our Ken national treasure
Great singer - great man ... great comedian ...
Pure genius - saw Doddy many times with his Diddymen at the theatre at the end of Blackpool pier. I even had an 8x10 autographed photo of him for many years until hard times hit...and I sold it to a keen collector of all things comedy related based in Palm Springs. How I wish I never had to sell it... I would dearly love to have it back.
Comic Genius
A genius
Was out of the country at time this was broadcast March 1974 so really pleased to see this we were blessed with good entertainers then Ken Dodd will be remembered as one of the all time greats which can not be said of today's mediocre bunch.
There will never be another.
What a beautiful day for sticking a cucumber through your neighbour’s letter box and shouting “ look out, the Martians have landed!” One of Doddy’s best jokes but there were so many to choose from.
The volume of material this man had was astounding. Genius
Genuinely fun
Sheer genius and not a moment's hesitation as the jokes come thick and fast.
Fantastic
I.must of.been six or seven when this was being shown and we as a family watched it religiously. Bonkers programme that was a staple of 70s culture.
Funny personified
I first saw Ken Dodd when my parents took me to see him when I was around 7 years old. I last saw him perform when I took my father to see him when I was in my early 40’s. He made my family laugh for decades, and very much reminds me of happy times with my late parents. A couple of times each year I find myself watching Ken Dodd videos, tonight being one of those nights. I still laugh every time, even though I know what’s coming! Thanks Ken.
Brilliant comic lucky enough to see him a few times. Skegness pier before it washed away.
Such brilliant timing and presentation.
There will never be another comedian like that. Talented at singing, gags, wit, audience mesmerized.
Fabulous!!
Ked Dodd-😂Absolute comedy Genius 👌
Ken Dodd the ultimate entertainer at his wonderful best.
Newly 50 years ago now 💔💔
about as funny as toothache to be honest... he was nowhere near in the same league as comedians such as bob monkhouse etc... 3 hours of watching him try to be an idiot is just torture
There are some good moments but this left me largely unmoved. I am old enough to remember him at the time this was recorded so I get the references and I can see the talent but it has not aged well for me. He must have seemed a lot funnier back then. I remember him as appealing to a certain segment that I was not part of and was never a fan apart from when I was very young. Some other comedy of the 60's / 70's still holds up so it isn't just that I have grown out his style. I did particularly like the gag about the thin girl swallowing a pickled onion causing four lads to flee the village.
Next there’s humour about please tell me!
Watch and learn modern day comedians. Pure genius. A total one off. Will always be missed.
I'm not a violent man, Mr. Fawlty...
"YES YOU ARE!"
@@JackMySmack lol, glad you get the joke.
The little two-way ad-lib between between Don and Bernard after the slip on the stairs is a gem. Bernard even raised his hat to Don in silent acknowledgment. Beautiful.
Brilliant performance.❤
LMFAO 😂
Most of the cast and audience are not alive today ,so sad ,
Brilliantly versatile man, such a sad loss, Perk's must be about it.
