Everybody here is so True! I hoped everybody forgives me for this take, but I think it's true: Wino is greater than Scott on the first album, but Scott on Die Healing is greater than any other vocalist on any other traditional doom album when Saint Vitus decided to record this

Scott Reagers is amazing! Die Healing is the best SV album in my opnion.

So if you're here because of Peter Steele, this is Saint Vitus, Doom Metal. And at their best if you ask me. This is the kind of stuff Pete drew inspiration from. Other bands I recommend are: Witchfinder General, Count Raven, Cathedral, Pentagram, Reverend Bizarre and Trouble.

Vitus is essentially a different band without Scott.Wino is a frikken legendary monster but I put forth that only Scott is the true voice of Saint Vitus.Even if Wino had come first Scott would still be the voice.Also nobody ever mentions Christian Lindersson who also filled in quite admirably as well.

Hab been lucky to see Scott perform on the DIE HEALING tour. He's such a nice guy like all the other dudes. Its a pity they had to cancel tour because Scott had a rupture eppendix shortly after I saw the show. Scott told he doesn't feel well that evening and vanished into the tour bus. Really got shattered though when reading of Armando passing away. Armando too was a kind and intelligent person and great drummer. Prefer the Reagers songs. :)

Good song! the main riff is very similar to Hand of Doom though

I like Wino in the Obsessed and Spirit Caravan. His contribution to Saint Vitus is also commendable, but the music during Reagers' time was the best doom ever, like an ashen cloud descending upon a sunny field, turning all the once singing flowers and floating unicorns into traumatized, face-sodden inebriates in seek of razor blades. Well, except for the flowers, cuz they can't walk.

st. vitas is the only heavy metal band still creating good real genuine heavy metal...thier latest is blessed night...the only real heavy metal song to have come out in years....heavy metal will go into the history books like disco, jazz,techno and the like....
