Love your shop, and even went on some rides with Mr. Praeger.. I hope one day I see him again! Excellent video. I was thinking of trading in my 2018 for a 2021 or so because of the ACC, I don't know if that is financially responsible, but I do know my first motorcycle was an RT, and my last will be an RT

So it limits your top speed until its broken in?
Yes, they have a very controlled break in period. After break in, they really open up.
I’m impressed by how poorly the people who sell and review these bikes, understand these bikes. Until you get through the break-in and get the performance unlocked, these little KTMs are electronically restricted. No review should be done on one of these until they’ve been unrestricted, or you won’t know what your long term experience will be…
They dont want to get wound out because 2,300 rpms past 7k are locked during the break in period. The shift light is also telling you to shift much earlier during the break in period.
I miss the limited technology of my 2019 RT. The navigation was great, most always works. My 2022 Rt 1250 with the TFT screen is great when it works. Currently on a long distance tour, frustrating when in a town trying to find the hotel. More often times than not,, after searching for the destination on the Nav with the BMW app I get the message “no route found” prior to departure I had the 6K service performed, all software updates have been performed. Get your 💩together BMW I’m ready to switch brands.
how freaking pathetic the flashing red in top gear how much more chincy can you get. and the 200 with the light come on KTM seems like B.S. to me lame
I have the 200. It’s pretty sweet for in town and small bits of highway. If you want lower rpm for highway definitely get a higher cc. The shift light is only for break in because your not supposed to go over 7500 rpm. After that no more shift light at 7500 rpm 🤷♂️
Can you use android auto or apple carplay on the new bmw?

Love the honest review... but I've been on the island, Hawaii, for too long. All these reviews are about mainland highways and these guys want to get up to 80 - 100mph. Lol the fasted speed limit here is 60mph so I think the 200 will do just fine for me 😅
These guys don't even talk about KTMs transport lock that limits the bikes until break in has been completed. Then the 200 will get up to around 80-83mph.
What's the big deal with that TFT screen trend?? It's not beautiful... It sure is way cheaper for the manufacturer than mechanical gauges! And it's as if a German designer went to take a piss and forgot his tablet on the dash!
I live 30 miles away and have to pass two bmw dealerships to get to you, but it’ll be worth it. Very knowledgeable and appears to be good customer service ratings. I’ll be coming in soon. Great video comparison.
As someone who hasn't rode in over a decade, these are definitely two of the bikes that I'm looking at now to get back into riding

You know Top cases come standard on GTL’s. It’s the GT models that do not come standard with top cases.

Good Review but the classic looks bad compare to OG
100% same bike, unless you truly want an iPad on the steering, in this case you need the new model. I think it is indeed a great bike but if you can't buy a new one just get the previous model because you get the same bike but you'll save 10k.
There is something about TFT completely black when engine is off that does not give me confidence. The thought of losing power to it (electronics) vs been able to see the analog console all the time. Call me old school) it is just very unlikely YES but if it happens it could be very frightening while driving
Those exhaust pipes will never be as cool as the Anaconda pipes on the first edition.

Does anybody has experienced that the bike gets hot so you hace to pull over?
Display is ugly! I like my 2009 RT just fine, even my ‘94 RS. More electronic gizmos equals more money for repairs.
I have a 2019 R1250RT which I really enjoy riding. I have had a good long look at the newer 2021 model but the change over price was far too much for the improvements over my current machine. I will wait for the new 1300cc engine to launch before I am tempted to change. The TFT maps are ok but what happens when you have no mobile data coverage? The old garmin is starting to look good. The RT is a great bike and really comes into it's own when 2 up touring.
I'll take sound test two, lol!
If I could find a new one I would buy it in a heartbeat but no luck in the states at all. The dealers all say they can’t get one. This sucks. Great review on the bike. I will find one somewhere

Do the Classic has shorter ground clearance/ lean angle due to the smaller wheel/tires? If so, how much?

I would say the 890 because where are you going to go 200 miles a hour to really use all the power of the super duke I have e the 890 R and it’s a great every day bike with plenty of power and handles great but I think the 2023 model of the 890 is the last because it’s now a 990

Wow! Sound is much better with Classic.
I love my Classic with Floorboards. 700 miles and great fun. The tire change is a noticeable change. Go Classic with floor boards, better ride.

Does the adaptive cruise control work or is it awaiting approval in the United States like Ducati’s is for the Multistrada?
