This is my story. I got scammed by a fraudulent training institute named “Beasant Technologies.” I wanted to pursue my career as a network administrator/associate. So, I wanted to get trained in networking, network-related concepts, and Cisco devices like routers and switches. They told me the trainer who would teach me was a working professional with six years of experience in networking and network devices. They also said they offered flexible timings and that I could take classes whenever I wanted. Since I’m a working individual, I couldn’t attend classes on weekdays, so I fixed my classes on weekends. At the beginning, the first 2-3 classes went well, but after that, the trainer didn’t come to class on time. Most of the classes got skipped, and sometimes he just sent video recordings of his online classes. I informed my father, and he went to speak to them, but they said they would address the issue. However, they never resolved it. Before I paid for the course, they told me there would be no refunds after payment, so we couldn’t get our ₹25,000 back. They had estimated my course would finish in 3-4 months, but it took me a year to complete and get my certificate. They claimed the certificate was ISO-certified, but when I checked, it was plain and lacked a certificate ID, URL, or reference number like certificates from Udemy. I felt depressed because I couldn’t do anything. The trainer was unqualified and didn’t teach me properly. They also recommended trash companies for job applications. I didn’t know what to do because I had been scammed out of my money and hadn’t learned anything about CCNA. Later, a friend recommended online platforms like Udemy and Coursera. At first, I was reluctant to spend another ₹25,000 on worthless courses, but my friend told me Udemy courses were much cheaper, around ₹3,000-₹4,000. So I gave it a try and bought a CCNA course on Udemy with a 4.8-star rating and 71k reviews. To my surprise, the course was on sale for ₹499 when I enrolled. It was totally worth the money! I learned far more than I had from the trash course at Beasant Technologies. The Udemy course provided a high-quality certificate with a certificate ID, URL, and reference number for verification. I used this knowledge, along with online MCQ dumps, to prepare for the CCNA exam. Since the exam was costly, I took my time to prepare. Thanks to the Udemy course and online resources, I passed the exam. From my experience, if you want to gain knowledge in a particular field, try reputed online learning platforms like Udemy, Coursera, edX, or Khan Academy. Even TH-cam is a better option if you don’t have money. Many creators provide quality content for free. You can learn basic concepts and expand your knowledge by researching online. The problem is that we’re often too lazy to search and try things, and scammers exploit this laziness and innocence to make money. My advice is to spend money on certification exams only when you are well-prepared. Companies value authorized certifications even if you don’t have prior experience.
