@@leanneshawler the things in the outside pocket were very secure! I didn’t have anything fall out, but they did fit in snugly, so that might’ve helped. The bag does also stand up well on its base, which helped a lot for setting it up on the hotel desk to live during the day.

Maddy Heintz the book is a plain kraft notebook from paperchase, and i decorated the front myself with embroidery thread and brads & some stickers... one thing that was also super helpful for the country outlines was carbon paper! i was able to trace a map over the cover and it transferred the lines

Mundo de Bea for the tape runner, it’s a small tool where you can press one end of it against whatever you want to tape and it leaves a trail of adhesive on the paper. then, i’ll flip it over and adhere it to the page.

Oh and just a question, did you create the journal pages live on the trip or you made it once the trip was over? I do mine after the trip is over because so I can stick pictures just like yours which are soooo cute! i guess it will be hard for me to do it live especially since most of the time is spent exploring :)

Steven's Queue ah, thanks! i actually do create the pages during the trip, that way i can better remember the order of when things were done & i don’t have to hold on to everything... and once i get back home i’m usually too lazy to sit down and scrapbook haha

Thats why it takes me month or even years (just finished my Bali 2017 this afternoon) to finally get the energy to sit and write/journal

Ella Blinkinsop no i don’t think they are lol😂 they’re really just there to pad anything pointy that might be in your bag & they can be removed to be used as seat cushions

you may not NEED it but it’s supposed to be a seating pad or foam for back support. A lot of people misinterpret it as just a peace of foam to shape the Kanken.

jiggabajandude i use the polaroid zip printer! it uses bluetooth and requires no ink & the printer paper is pretty cheap if you buy in bulk~

R Sotejo they do, so i actually wash mine in the laundry machine after every long trip or every week (if i’m just using it on a daily basis)~ and when i wash it, i make sure to do so on high heat to help kill the germs
