This is so true
For the second appliance that expands the bone, I was researching to see if there are any studies that show it can achieve results and that it can be done safely, but could not find anything. Then I found this video, the concept is the same I think, but I wonder if you are aware of the risks. Here is the link th-cam.com/video/8Nsnuw19ldg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you! This is helpful
A very limited and simplistic chat on TMJD orthotics. Not sure how a "holistic" dentist is an expert in TMJD "therapy"....I've researched many dentists who offer treatment for TMJD with an upper orthotic or a lower, or both...night guards, bite guards, splints....it's hard to know if the same term is applied to the same treatment/device or if the different names apply to the same treatment/device - and why is that? There seems to be little to no research on TMJD and no training for dentists, yet dentists are expected or offer to treat a jaw joint problem that is clearly not to do with teeth but medical and where medical insurance does not cover. It also seems to be a trial and error situation for the dentist based on what it is they do and based on their years of experience in dentistry (although unrelated to TMJD in most cases) and for this experimentation, the client is expected to pay even when it results in failure. If this all sounds negative, you have never had the experience of the pain of TMJD to eat or sleep, the basics of living, and where there is little to no treatment that can offer a solution to the excruciating pain with poor outcome and no clear diagnosis other than blaming the client for grinding their teeth. In most cases, poor dentistry and malocclusion is the root cause. Hope some well-meaning dentists see this.
Thank you for being so open ...nobody explained it as such
It is far better to have frenums surgically clipped.
These are the exercises you do AFTER you get it clipped or lasered. Any complete release of the entire tie requires wound stretches. No matter the tools used.
I was wondering if Herre made their own toothpaste?
Don't put your child through this
Baby will grow up to have so many complications if this isn’t done.
I agree with deanna.
You know nothing lady
Why not? You have to stretch other parts of your body, why not your mouth?
Not necessary to breastfeed? That's so wrong. It's very important to breastfeed. Also, tongue and lip ties should be released because they can cause lifelong problems such as speech problems, orthodontics needed, behavioral problems, headaches, neck and muscle tension, digestive issues, swallowing disorders, reflux, choking, dysphagia needing a thickener and yes difficulty taking a bottle as an infant. Not even being able to hold a pacifier in their mouths. Why make a baby deal with a struggle eating for months or years because you don't want to help them in the beginning.
