Thank u for not overlaying everything with crap music. Ambient sound is so much more powerful. I attended Burslem Art School in the 1960's. The semi derelict state of all the surrounding areas that I experienced then has left me with unforgettable memories. So many fine buildings that just don't have the prosperity of a thriving community to support them.

At around 9 minutes and seeing John Hartley aka "Elvis" walking past the Slug And Lettuce brings back memories of him as i always saw in the pubs here in Wolverhampton. Since this footage was filmed,he sadly passed away. R.I.P🙏

For me, it will always be shires wish I turn the clock back to when it actually was, miss those days 😢❤

as a man born in Stafford, there is no way I'd ever move back there, gridlocked most days with a neghead council, very little to recommend it apart from some good friends who are stuck in a time warp there.

Going back some years but New York, New York nightclub was the best in Rotherham along with the Zone, nothing there anymore..like a ghost town 🫤

Went there today [6/12/24] on our way back from seeing the awesome HMS Prince of Wales air craft carrier at the docks. A magical day out for my family and the kids loved the Christmas Market.

10 to 15 years ago, this town was as packed with people Friday & Saturday nights, almost as busy as the day. It's now as quiet as the grave. I visit the Blue Coat occasionally. It used to be a pain to get to the bar in the day. Now, there's hardly anyone there.
