    I’ve always been captivated by this verse, “And this is the way to have eternal life-to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth” John‬ ‭17‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬. So I can experience eternal life right now? I can be with God right now? Reveal Yourself to me please 🙏🏼, make me to understand this, Lord!

    This was a wonderful sermon, Tim. Ultimately, when it is almost over (48:01)Tyler is crying and saying he so desperately wants to be there now. God Bless him and his family. We never know what is in store for us, especially in light of his current health challenges. His vulnerability and yearning to be with God resonate deeply. It's truly touching watching Tyler Staton's emotional response to the sermon.

  • @bran7134
    @bran7134 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I've been watching a lot of Tim Mackie teachings, and I've enjoyed then but there's something that is really bothering me. I take issue with the fact as Bible nerd, Tim should know that Jesus, Paul and those who taught and were teaching on the dangers of sin, all never strayed from calling it what it was. And when it comes to homosexuality, six years ago, in a teaching, Tim seemingly said that call themselves homosexuals are fine and loved the way they are. And when prodded on his thoughts homosexuality later on in a podcast, he basically told them, I don't know enough about it and won't hear me talk about it. I reached out to Bible Project last month and they basically told me they didn't want to isolate themselves by addressing that subject. But the thing is, I would not be talking about it if he'd never vaguely brought it up at the end of that sermon six years ago, but he did, and all me and many others are asking for, is clarification on where he stands on it and his interpretation of what the Bible says on it. This is very important because I've seen a lot of people jumping on to that Tim Mackie Archives TH-cam channel (Bible Project says they do not own have any affiliation with that channel) and have thanked Tim for affirming their homosexuality. If anyone else has any other information on Tim and actual footage of him addressing it, please let me know. And before anyone judges me, please know I know we are all sinners, but the Bible is abundantly clear on homosexuality is a sin. Many have tried to write books, etc to make excuses and twisting the scriptures on it. We're all sinners, yes. But, the fact absolutely remains there's a diametric difference between falling into sin and practicing it.

      @rexamai4982 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      May I suggest this is a secondary issue. God’s love is what changes people, not dwelling on others behaviors. It’s not just that all sin. It’s that there not a day that I myself nor you or anyone else alive isn’t perpetuating some cycle of sin, knowingly or unknowing, but nonetheless purposefully. When we focus on our own journey & allow ourselves to become more in tune with the love that is God, we will become more mature in love & that love will impact others in a much more genuine way, than trying to color everything & everyone black & white.

    Thank you Tim for such a moving, deeply prayerful and Biblically based sermon that encourages us to truly understand prayer, the Garden, and our ability to have a much deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior than we can ever imagine. What you are talking about brings light to darkness, which unfortunately, so many Biblical scholars are unwilling to discuss. Avoiding this topic only allows darkness to prevail. THANK YOU. Don't take this wrong.....I appreciate this teaching. But Western teachers have got to stop equating suffering with things like having a jerk for a boss. that's not suffering.... real suffering is happening. real suffering is being molested or finding out your child has and watching them get addicted to heroin and your grandchildren having to grow up without parents....... real suffering is when you are really sick and in constant pain and can't provide for your family who desperately needs you anymore.........real suffering is concentration camps and your family getting exterminated. we need to know what paradise now looks like in those days. the days of real suffering. why did Jesus say you'll be with me in Paradise later.... why didn't he say right now in this moment while we are hanging on this cross in total agony we can be in Paradise at the same time. it's nearly impossible to be a real human being and actually love people and have healthy attachments and at the same time not be in mourning and agony when they are destroyed. where is Paradise in those horrific moments and days..... where there is no mountain top in site and Paradise later isn't really helping. I'm not trying to be a jerk or challenging...... this is something I really need to understand. I never hear western teachers talk about real pain and suffering..... they all talk about a tough time at work or financial difficulties like that's the worst that can happen to people. i really want to believe and understand this. i can relate to sitting quietly and waiting on God and nothing happens. just wish i could relate to feeling paradise in the middle of pain and suffering

    "For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough." (2 Cor 11:4). My heart weeps at the deception that is being taught and accepted. This is a pagan view of God, not a Biblical one. Such a twisting of Scripture! These deceptions are leading people away from the true God and the true gospel.

    I may legit be Tim’s biggest fan but I found this message to be super disheartening. I came out of new age mysticism/meditation and what Tim describing as prayer sounds identical to this. It is rooted in “Christ Consciousness” teachings. I recently saw John Mark Comer cite Richard Rohr as an influence to his book & course ‘Practicing The Way’ - which is promoted by Bridgetown Church (connected to Tyler Stanton & Mackie). Rohr now teaches Christ Consciousness along with beliefs like ‘Jesus didn’t need to die for our sins.’ Please know this comes from a true heart of concern for these teachers I have loved and followed for so long. Steven Bancarz and Alisa Childers both have some awesome presentations here on TH-cam about Richard Rohr as well as the general topic of Christ Consciousness aka Universal Christ, New Age Jesus, that are worth checking out 🤍

      I was wondering this just from seeing the title. I’m also a big fan of Tim’s, but am perhaps hypersensitive to the dangers of New Age teaching making its way into the church. Thanks for your comment.

      @freeyourglow I totally agree with you. He mentioned something about how one of Thomas Keating's writings inspired him This guy taught contemplative prayer which is not biblical and has its roots in Eastern mysticism. Which in essence is identical to Gnosticism. All we can do is pray for Tim so he won't fall into this new age deception. I believe he has discernment and will eventually realise it's all nonsense. Jesus is Alive✝

    • @freeyourglow
      @freeyourglow 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stefanlouw6395Thank you for sharing your thoughts here! Tim has always challenged American Christianity “Churchianity” and I believe he’s on point with his desire to help stir a revival of truth, depth and understanding. But we must be so careful not to just swing into the opposite extreme. In new age I was an avid reader of Ram Das who wrote the occult book “Be Here Now” which describes the exact same experience he is outlining here with “Paradise Now”. Jesus essentially just becomes a representative of a “state of consciousness” that is achievable for us all. If you belive Jesus is the eternal now, you would also have to believe there are “many paths to God” including all practices that get people to this transcendent place, including psychedelics, mantra and breathwork meditation. It would be so cool to hear Mackie, Comer or Staton expand on some of these nuances to explain how they can follow mysticism practice and also still believe Jesus when he says “no one comes to the Father except through me”.

    • @stefanlouw6395
      @stefanlouw6395 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@freeyourglow Couldn't agree more, yes. I think it's a situation of them being completely "underexposed" to all this stuff. I my personal experience, most people have zero to little knowledge of the actual roots of things like yoga, transcendental meditation and psychedelics etc. It takes effort and time to study these things. And they are clearly more focused on strict biblical studies.
