The trick is... GW spray paint is too high quality for dipping. You should try with lighter paints (like your pink one).

The plug socket, right next to a bucket of water you're spraying air into...

maybe watch a single hydrodiping video. you're not supposed to push the water with spray paint. you're getting propellant into the water

I would say either a dark reddish brown on the cape or have it black with blueish grey highlights!

Your paint scheme does look worlds better than the traditional black templars scheme.

My local one warhammer store lets you cut the bits of the sprue and then take home to build

My shop dose that and its because that's the point of mini of month to sit with other people because its (actually a quote the manger said to me) "it's a way to connect with others and chat with people."

It's a free model, and you're complaining? Now at my local store we had to build it, it's part of the agreement for the free model. However, I was allowed to do sub assemblys and clippers and mould line removers were provided along with superglue and plastic glue. I found everything to be extremely fair.

I just take it off the the sprue and put it in the box and leave, so i can use my tools to clean it properly and fix it up

Can you literally just pick up the model for free or do you have to buy something or join a membership?

That’s just you. We either get a spru in a box, prebuilt or a spru and base.

I’m new to this hobby, so my question is , do all hobby shops that retail space marines do it? Or is it just the shops with the GW name? TIA.

I bought a Chaplain at the same time so I could mix them and make a DW Chaplain, because of this my GW manager let me take the sprue. It's a free mini, stop complaining

Part of me thinks he looks too vibrant, but I reckon under normal lighting he will look perfect. IMO. Being vibrant is better than “grimdark” unless you have added lighting, it just looks too dark,

That's a neat program, if you're interested in WH but never gave a try, you have the necessary except the paints, and maybe even people to help about making the thing

Reason why they do that is cause people will take the sprue and sell them. That's what my local GW store manager said anyways.

Hot take. I actually enjoy that the stores do this it's a nice introduction to the hobby, it gives new-comers a taster of what it's like to peice together a model and it gets you interacting with people around you, sure for the socially inept it can be quite daunting I understand, but this is a positive thing to get people in and be inclusive. Personally I don't see this as an issue.
