Which of these video game tunes can you recognize? Gonna introduce another "new" system next video. I think the GBA is a good fit despite being newer than the rest, it just FEELS retro even if it's "only" like 20 years or so old. Had to reupload to fix a mistake.

I already have the next set of entries planned out. lol I know these aren't very high quality in terms of visuals, but I hope I'm doing well at curating an interesting and varied line up of tunes. And being so easy to put together is part of why I enjoy pumping them out.

Man. Re: Cutie Honey’s opening is the only one that successfully manages to transfer its older retro look to the ‘newer’ age. Making it look timeless even! 1994 was all about the sci-fi and rock opening that was popular and trending of it’s time. Cutie Honey Flash in 1997 seemed more elegant and fantasy magical. Considering I think it was made by the same people who did Sailor Moon right? 2004 surely brought back the polka dots, checkerboards and fun bright colours that the 70s opening was known for. which I think overall fit the fun yet cutie vibe. Not to mention the animation! Smooth as butter!

Funny how the English version of the Shin Cutie Honey theme, which really emphasizes her heroism, is the most fanservicey opening in history
OVAの新キューティーハニーの変身シーンは本当にお勧め。トラブルで途中で打ち切りになっちゃったけど、変身シーンにはまぎれもない「愛」がある。画質は良くなってないけど、ブルーレイ版も海外でリリースされたので、見た人はぜひ。

If I remember correctly, the original music is just kind of a short loop, very common in older arcade games, but it IS a classic, so maybe I should keep the series in mind if I do more.

Fun fact: The last two OVAs for Shin Cutie Honey were crossovers with Devilman (Akira Fudo and Sirine appearing) and Mazinger Z (Dr. Kabuto (Kouji Kabuto’s grandfather) appearing).

Tried to lean away from big themes to use a bit less hard to get entries... but ended up with some anyway. lol Kinda ended up with some manner of theming too, starting with "The other main character", then a spectrum from "fighting girl" to "fish guy" via lizards, Riptor, the ultimate fighting girl, being the obvious connecting point. :P And ended with a pun, I guess, of Kuma and Akuma.
