Normally bladesingers are a hard counter to wildwood rangers. Goes to show how much weight XP can pull in a head to head. If the rangers had any level of hero or ranged support, they'd've won

Kind of an unfair comparison. Doomseekers are great against enemies who can't really fight back (like weak goblin infantry), whereas swordmasters can hold their own defensively as well. I've seen swordmasters do way better vs more elite infantry + they can obviously tank a lot more arrows with 90 armor.

Chosen of Khorne is assault infantry, Chosen of Slaanesh - defensive. Let them charge each other! 😅

Going to assume either Ironbreakers or Chosen of Khorne will win this in total. Ironbreakers because goblins are very unlikely to do damage with their insane MD and armor Chosen of Khorne because they'll run out of goblins to kill

Ku'gath has so much meele def that Skarbrand can't hit him, also vs Ku'gath in campaing on legendary its so hard to kill him with melee even with anti large bonus, the only way to deal with him is with ranged damage and from range he chunks when he hits a blob

It will never be about the melee. You need to add in behind them a ranged support unit.

The Prince had by far the better offence but Fleshy Abundance turned that Unclean One into a 24k HP meat wall.

Shouldn't the Chosen of Slaanesh be braced?

Default Chosen have been powercrept quite a bit. Of course, it's also a generalist unit vs an anti-infantry specialist here and the meta has despised elite infantry for a long time to the point where you're gonna go with Marauders, Forsaken or Chaos Warriors instead anyways, but if you really badly needed powerful elite infantry, you'd probably be better off just shelling out an extra 100 for the poison and bonus health of the Nurgle variant.

Does it yield the same result if you don't use shadow coil? Do the Bladesingers fare worse? Or do they last less but do more damage?

god, khorne units really do need some buffs. allmost all of their monsters are bad, and infantry hasn't been relevant for a long time

I wonder if it was the 20 leadership difference that kept the BS alive for so long. Undead Instability is a pain.

Issue is Ku'gath's MD is insane. Skarbrand gets under a 50% hit chance when vigor sets in.

Everyone and their mama tend to say that Doomseekers are too fragile especially in situations like that against a lot of enemies. So what happened here? Or did they got boosted in the last patch? I'm genuinely confused, slayers are not known to be very resilient, yet they lasted very well here.

Even with Skarbrand cycle charging, Ku’gath has miasma of pestilence to soften the blow. But dont worry Khorneboys, DLC is soon here.

I remember that last time when this happened, the Exalted Bloodletters wiped the floor with Hammerers.

Before anyone complains about the 'unfairness' of the matchup - It's literally scissors v.s. stone meme. The Ugly Bastard is there to plug the gap in your frontline / receive a *crapton* of damage and still keep going. The best thing for them is to plug themselves "comfortably" riiight in the middle of a cheap chaff blob and eat it away, just as the Grandpa intended. Hence the worst thing for it is a firing line of nimble archers, who can kite it. The "Furry" is just the opposite. A scalpel to peel away the enemy's flanks, before punching right into the soft underbelly - Hit and Run personified. Here we saw the battle of the Glass Canoon and the Mighty Glacier. Did you do the test also by letting the chosen of Khorne simply charge and the Choseen of Slaanesh use their charge defense? Maybe the result would have been a bit better for the Slaaneshi then.
