I don't know if this deer is injured or was born with a bad leg. Seems to be getting by just fine. There are several herds of deer that come through here. I've seen this lame deer be run off by two separate groups. Sad, but that's nature. Sorry for the video quality. Like dragons the security camera, "in the failing light, they can't focus.'

I use ExpressVPN on my Samsung Galaxy phone, PCs, and streaming devices. I also use ExpressVPN in my Linux Mint virtual machine. Although there is a browser extension that allows you to control ExpressVPN I prefer to use command line.

Dog eats deer's snack.

Sometimes I will take my old bread (Arnold multi or 12 grain) and throw it out back to see what comes to eat it. Lately it has been deer. There were 6-8 slices and the deer got the first couple until the old hunting dog showed up. I reckon he isn't much of a hunting dog anymore ;-) The old dog shows up here quite a bit. He is sweet, shy, has a bad rear leg, and deaf.

One of the eayas (baby hawks) is feasting on a tasty frog or toad. My wife walked out on the deck and filmed this without the aide of a tripod so it's a little shaky but she did a great job.

I am glad you don't have gators or crocs in your backyard, otherwise it wouldn't be so calm. Nice stuff.
Very nice. Thank you for not adding any music. Just the natural sounds of your breathing, the tires on the gravel, and whatever nature was doing. Question: as a road bicyclist, when I saw that single track (correct phrase?), I have question: what happens while you're going downhill and I am riding uphill? My guess is I have to get out of your way, so I'd be standing in the grass. Correct? Or is the trail a one-way loop? But as you said you rode up and back, I'm guessing one-way is not correct. Or is the ridership level low enough that head-ons in the narrow spaces not common? Thank you.
The trail is 2-way and is as narrow as it looks (single track is correct). We did meet some people on the trail going both ways and as I recall each time the uphill folks just moved to the side naturally. I do remember standing in the grass/ferns. As I'm sure you know, cyclists tend to be a polite, well-mannered, willing to help anyone out crowd.
