Welcome to Emerald City Orchids,
It is an orchid lover’s paradise. Every week, we will share videos with tips for growing orchids, cultural requirements and potting techniques, pest management solutions, bark mounting projects, plant division, and other fun orchid work.
We will also periodically share an orchid experience which might include a trip to a fun greenhouse or other orchid growing space, orchid excursions to photograph them in situ, or orchid shows and events.
Our goal is to entertain and inform our audience, that they might come to love orchids as much as we do. It might also entice people to visit periodically and spend money.

We went over the mountains and were greeted by thick fog covering the roads and vegetation. Naturally we made a quick stop and took a hike into the cloud forest, we found so many plants thriving in this environment. Follow for more info into our Ecuador trip and for future tours.

We made a quick stop to look at more orchids thriving on the side of the road. We’re reaching higher altitudes and we can start to see how these orchids are growing with the change of the weather happening so fast. The clouds stay here, plus winds and hits of sun rays are providing lots of nutrients.
