Putrajaya Sentral Transport Hub
We were really happy to hear about the new tram service being trialled in Putrajaya, Malaysia’s Administrative Capital. Especially as it’s free for now. It does its rounds (currently Government offices on weekdays, the nearby IOI Mall on weekends) from Putrajaya Sentral, the local transport hub. We check out the local buses, the Express bus counter, MRT and ERL services and grab a bite to eat. There’s lots of work going on, so we’ll probably need another future trip to see what’s new.

    Alternatively, you can take the same MRT Kajang line to Kwasa, but stop at Museum Negara station (without changing at Pasar Seni station). There is a direct walking connection between MRT Museum Negara station and KL Sentral.

      That's true, but it is a fair walk, as is the interchange at Ampang. But we chose this route because we wanted to change to the KTM and it's easier to get a seat on the train at the nearby Kuala Lumpur Station than KL Sentral. At least at afternoon peak hour, going to the South or Port Klang.

    • @EconomyTraveller
      @EconomyTraveller 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Standard visa requirements apply when changing terminals at Jakarta, the same as if you were leaving the airport to go to the city or elsewhere in Indonesia. This means that a visa fee may apply, and you will need to go through customs as well.

    FYI, 9M-XBI is not factory fresh from the Airasia X order book with Airbus. It is an aircraft that was formerly used by Singapore Airlines, hence the more comfortable seats. I flew on the paired seats once but did not enjoy them because they were too noisy for my ears and was unable to sleep! I usually fly in the quiet zone seats if I fly on Airasia X.

    Did you go during the high season or low season? I am planning to visit Broome in October this year, to avoid the crowds because I heard June->August is very touristy. I wanna get more an "off-the beaten track feel", rather than be surrounded by crowds of tourists. As you have been there, how did you find Broome? is it still a place of adventure or just another mass tourism destination? If you have been in October or low season, how is it?

      Hi there, I went in late November so it was certainly just starting to get into low season. Yes, there's definitely lots of adventures and other tours you can do from Broome. I think you should definitely check it out as the landscape alone was so different to anywhere I'd been before. • @EconomyTraveller
      @EconomyTraveller 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If both are in the same itinerary, there would be no problem. Otherwise check at the transfer desk and they will be able to advise you, depending on the conditions in your ticket. The best would be when you first check in for your domestic leg, you ask them to ticket you all the way through and then your luggage will be transferred for you in Denpasar as you are considered to be in transit. You may still have to get your International boarding pass validated at the Transfer counter. Look for the sign as you leave your domestic flight.

    Be careful where you park in Airlie Beach as car parking scams are rampant. There is a vacant block of land behind Woolworths where people park when the Woolworths car park is full. However the land is owned by Magnums and you will be fined if you park here. Very poor signage if any indicating that it's private land and many cars parked here. There's a large car park at Coral Sea Marina at Shingly Beach, we parked here and paid but we're fined $90. When we questioned the fine we were informed that there are actually two separate car parks and we had parked in the wrong one. There is no discernable difference in the car parks and it just looks like one big car park. Absolute scams and won't be back to Airlie Beach.

In regards to Jetstar most of their planes don’t have entertainment screens.

      Hi Abbie, hard to say exactly how it would go on a full flight. They were doing a fair few orders and after thinking my food came very quick I timed how long they took to bring a subsequent order of a drink and it was less than 30 seconds - so that's promising! Thanks for the feedback on the Avalon part, what I can say is that I did notice they have a couple of food outlets and ample seating but most notably they have self check in machines which Sunny Coast airport doesn't.
