That's true. It is very hard to make the AI overtake. They tend to get themselves in a straight line, exactly like at the start of the race. The second race at the Big Ring is on dirt. :) You can find at the Playlist (those episodes have no narration)

I mainly use the console to create my races, apart from tweeking the json files on the game's folder. But you're not the first to ask, and I believe you won't be the last one to. So I plan to create a video explaining my workflow when I finish the season. If you think you can help tweeking the lua file to make the AI overtake, enter the BeamNG forum (in the description) and contact me there as we may have to send each other files and stuff on a direct level.

You were indeed. You deserve seeing it before everyone. I won't abandon the channel, I like doing it. It is just that I need to reevaluate the workflow of creating these videos. It is time consuming, so simplifying a bit the content and also the workflow will be my goal for the next season. By the way, we still have 1 last race to go :D

I watched on my other account. That was crazy as hell lol. Nakamura lost a wheel but then was racing again lol. That was crazy hell. There's an option called Awareness that you can turn on/off. It would prevent the cars from hitting each other that much, if you're interested in that

I still want to use the AI, but in a different mode, without the overtaking and racing environment. My computer can't even handle that many cars anymore. I also can't even get crashes so you can "fix" them. The qualifying I did for the East Coast was actually very interesting for me, and it can be transformed into a Rally of sorts, where drivers are measured and prized based on their time rather than position. On top of that, do you want me to turn your character into a driver? I was thinking about that a few days ago.

I don't either... I just think that having a character created by the audience is a nice. But for you, because you are helping me since the beginning, I think you could be a driver who can give "interviews", the same way as you are giving some sort of commentary by saying the predictions. By the way, I need you to tell me where from Italy is Ari Sorrentino, like, which city was he born?

It is a setting accessible through the console only. It determines how early/late a driver make a turn

@@peregrinusdrive But is it a mission or do you only use the Race path or whatever it is called, if you only use the race path, how do you do it, because if I create an AI race mission my car appears there and I can't switch between the cars to see them race, I can do the replay and watch it later, but I don't think you do it that way

I see what you mean. I set an AI for all the cars. I mainly use the console of the game to create this, so even to the current player car, I set the AI there. You can use the AI UI tool that will create a similar result. For the path, I use the manual option within the UI

By the way, I do use the Race Path to create the track, then inside the race path tool, there is a debug window you can open. You make all the AI test the track and from the console, you can get the route with the name of each WP the car should pass. I copy and apply to my drivers. Lots of manual work, but works well so far

I only updated the sunsky element in the World Editor. Makes a huge difference right? I loved it too because it also improved a bit the FPS. Did you like the ending? So it means I'll keep doing it ;D

I noticed the left ear sound thingy. I noticed it too late and didn't want to rerender all the video. Long process. But I'll pay better attention, and I'm also sourcing better sounds lol. It's a big mystery to have guessed only the Russians. Next guessing will be in the races... A bit harder lol :)

Yeah, there's something happening with Vova. Did you know he used to be a taxi driver? Probably driving alone is taking its tow. Regarding Donna, I wasn't as well. I made the voice over while collecting data and when I saw her time I didn't believe. I went to check if I've made any mistake in calculating it lol. There's something mysterious in her, like I said in the video.

I don't know what HSP stands for, but to your first statement, yes, I'm setting parameters' values randomly to each driver. This video is one of my the first attempts that I liked. I evolved them on the next 2 events.

It actually took longer because of the rework on the AI system. Narrating is "fast" in comparison, but still hard as I need to make sure no noise exists around as I've no decent microphone. I'm glad you liked though :D

Let me know if it did make it harder to see. By te way, what's your best time in that track?

I ran a 1:34.490 in the 844 250 (M). I'm glad I chose the coupe, it's one of the lighter cars in the lineup. To me, it feels too large to be on this track and it's very hard to recover when losing traction. I did have esc/tc turned off because I feel it slowed me down a lot in this specific condition. Day time is definitely easier, I ran a messy 1:32.732 running off the track at mid speed right hander just before the hill to the main jump. My favorite part though is if you nail the landing well, the downhill section to the finish line is an absolute blast. You can hold it flat out and with a little bit of oversteer, you don't even need to brake. Sorry for the wall of text but this was a great experience!

Wow!! You are nearly 10 seconds faster than my AIs. I personally can't race in BeamNG because I only have a keyboard and I suck at it. The fastest driver in the Big Ring was Cian Falloone with 01:41.404, he was on the Group 3 video an won. The 2nd Fastest was Eleesha Brooks with 01:43.169 and she was at the same race as Cian. In 3rd we have Salomon Puma with 01:43.540, he was in this video we are talking. So, Salomon, even at night, almost managed the same time as Eleesha who ran during the morning.

Is it backwards? Lol I'm new to the game and when I designed the track, I realised that it already existed, so I just took the name. Shane is really flying in that one :)

I was wondering why after the jump Frolov stayed far behind Jolanta. You answered me now. Something did break the car, but his speed didn't reduce enough for me to notice. I noticed only when editing. Regarding Muneyaki and Alencar, Yes... I was waiting for his try, but he didn't want to risk much it seems. Another highlight I saw was Walker getting stuck lol. The AI really did wrong there :) Thanks for watching!!
