Good video I love the truck in the movie, I've always wanted to see the truck in person but never had a chance. Peterbilt 378s are pretty rare nowadays and honestly the one in the movie looks the best of all of them.

they need to find one of those truck shows where a lot of other movie and tv show trucks come, theres a video with the trucks from; Convoy, BJ and the Bear, Maximum Overdrive, and Duel. I don't think they are all originals, but it would be cool to see this truck with them

Cool video. I Visited the Truck with some friends in May 2019. The owner told us he'd sell it for 10 grand on the spot. That's me standing in front of it in my profile picture. Glad to see someone bought it and restored it.

This is the most thorough Pet Sematary filming location video by far. I plan to visit most of these one day. I definitely want to visit the Creed house, the Pet Sematary, and the burial ground at the very least.

Wondering how you video'd this but its amazing. if I could roll back 53 years in time I would be fishing for flounders and carrying out groceries for summer people at Carvers groceries and going to Beach parties at Lanes Island watching the breakers come in and wondering if I could row over to isle a haut and back and fishing and swimming in East Boston quarry and chasing my childgood crushes through the woods up on the hill above the medical center. But this video helped relive the beautiful memories of my youth on Vinalhaven. Hope to visit it again someday! Thanks again!

I live in Maine, not too far from Dexter. I have shopped in that Reny's many times. I have often remarked on the lamp post street lights. I never knew there was donated to the town.

16:05 during a Winter storm in 2003 i got locked out of my dorm up in Orono and couldnt get in, it was around 3am, so i decided to drive home to Brewer. Well i was going around that corner and slid off the road into the ditch. Luckily a truck drove by and was able to pull me out easily. Whenever I tell the story I always say it was right where this movie was filmed. "Thanks for the ride lady!"

When I saw the fork in the road I new I've driven there a few times and that was the first place I thought of Dexter it's changed a little bit since I used to go there to run a business.

A real mill playing a mill. It is quite rare to see practical locations which are not only real, but which had also actually served the same purposes in real life as the buildings which they played in films. It's not too common to see real buildings used so extensively in the picture. It's sad yet, at the same time, somewhat symbolic that this building appears to be as abandoned and forgotten as the film itself - an excellent, underappreciated, unjustly abandoned picture, with a surreal, dreamy-nightmarish atmosphere.

Retirement community is relatively new. Even in the late 90s there was a road you could drive from the library to another road. There was a gravel pit in there too. Road ran on top of the river bank.

10:30 I remember my mother telling me about seeing filming down here going on when she was driving home from work, and 15:00 I regularly take this exit when driving to see my parents, and think of that scene every time lol

I’ve always wondered what it looked like on the inside. It’s amazing. But the layout confused me beyond belief lol The 2nd story “A Frame” window that overlooks the porch, where does it go? Another bedroom you didn’t have access to? Or attic space? And the 2 smaller square windows that sit right above the left side of the porch close to the garage, above the 2nd front door: where do they go to? More attic space? Or are they visible from the kitchen? Anyway, thanks for this video! It’s great to actually see it, even if it’s confusing me 😂

I lived in Dexter, If you look at your example, you will see the coats and such hanging in the window for sale at Renys. There was not actually a news stand there but one was superimposed for the movies sake.

They are in business yet today, selling wool, alpaca and other fiber yarns in the offices across the street from the mill. They also have a website where they sell the yarns they have. And the history of the mill. I do know it is the oldest continues working mill in the state.
