How do you take the side shields off
she said that in the first minute, they do and the middle part too, are you deciding between these and a similar pair? I am too but can't decide on oakley clifden, these or vallon heron glacier
This "spectron" print on the left lense (as sees in 1:12) - is it permanent or removable, like a sticker?
Which model would you recommend for multi-environment hikes? Below the tree line to above the treeline? Do the photo chromatic really work well (like 2-4)?
The REACTIV 2-4 lens has a visible light transmission range from 7-35%-above treeline, when it's really bright, they'll let in just 7% of visible light; when it's darker, they'll let in 35%, which is still a bit dark. If you want something that becomes more clear below treeline yet still offers great protection in the high alpine, check out the Shield with the REACTIV 0-4 High Contrast lens.
My shop just starting carrying these. NO consumer videos online so far I could find. Got any vids of people pulling up to a stop and trying to fit common glasses into those channels? I have lost several glasses from putting them on my cables at a stop and forgetting. But, not made of money and top end helmets are hard to buy and find out a feature that looks cool just not work in R/L.

We’ll get one made for you 😎
Which lens model would be the best to cut glare through the water near the ocean in bright and cloudy conditions?
Check out the REACTIV 2-4 Polarized or REACTIV 1-3 Glare Control options. These are both polarized to reduce glare-the 2-4 Polarized is better in brighter conditions and the 1-3 Glare Control is better in slightly darker conditions.
🤠
If i buy a Ultimate, can i convert it later to a Ultimate cover by buying the shields and guards ?
Yes! You can purchase the Ultimate Cover nose piece and side shields separately (head to "spare parts" on our website). Both are compatible with and click into the Ultimate, however the Ultimate's lens shape has a small cutout at the bottom when compared to the Ultimate Cover, meaning there's a small gap (<2mm) at the bottom of the lens where it meets the side shield. It's more of an aesthetic thing than a gap that lets in light.
No customer service. Emails are not responded to. Arms on my Vermont Classics broke very quickly. STAY AWAY

i wear glasses , and my eyes are not suitable to wear contacts anymore , so finding a suitable OTG (over the glasses ) solution is very important to me , do you have any recommendations to brands or types of eyewear you could point me to ? cheers!
While we carry OTG snow goggles, we don't unfortunately manufacture OTG sunglasses. We do, however, offer a full optical line at julbo.rx and have several models of sunglasses that are compatible with optical clips, as well.
I have the Vermont classics. arms broke within weeks. Multiple emails yielded no responses. non eistent customer service

What do you recommend for hiking/backpacking in multiple landscapes?
one of those on the right stand. If you hike lower than 4k altitude, just pick whatever you like. However if you go higher, be sure to choose ones with a good protection, especially when you expect sunny weather and snow covering. That can kill your eyes at 6k easily.
Sell me
Is it possible to fit an optical clip in the ultimatet?
Yes!
Is it compatible with Asian bridge?
Bring back the julbo drus but with a welded bridge and not the glued plastic bridge 🙏🙏🙏
Round fit? Or oval?
Nice, love this!
You look like Ronda Rousey lol
At what altitude julbo ultimate cover sunglasses can be use for?
Any altitude. The 2-4 Polarized lens is best for high altitudes and extreme sun.
Does this come with prescription? If yes, how much is the cost difference?
Yes. The price depends on which lens you choose. julborx.com/collections/all-products/products/explorer-2-0-unifocal
Which lens do you recommend for both skiing and mountainbiking (switching between bright and dark places) when you are high sensitive for bright light?
The REACTIV 1-3 or 0-3 High Contrast lens will be great for both activities, the only difference being the 1-3 goes almost clear and the 0-3 turns entirely clear.
Thank you 🙏
Good info, would have been most helpful if you would have put them on so we could see the size difference between the 2 models. I've worn Julbo for 20 yrs. and always appreciate the function, (Reactive lens), fit and quality, and happy to support one of the few brands not owned by Luxottica, who now controls a huge % of the market. Considering these, as my Race 2.0 are finally needing a replacement, also own the Rush w Cat 1-3 lens, which are excellent, (but their a tad "bulky" compared to the Race). Curious your opinion on these compared with Montbianco 2, (or possibly the Ultimate, although they may be too "flimsy" re putting them under a cycling helmet 1-handed while riding). I hike, do some mt climbing, and road & mt bike in sunny SoCal.
Folks love the Ultimate for riding-the 3D nosepiece and adjustable temples make for a secure and custom fit. The Shield M is a tad bigger than the Montebianco and the Shield is a fair bit larger, both in terms of fit and coverage.
Are the leather shields removable on the Cham? What does it look like without them?
Yes, they're easily removable via two clips. These sunglasses look like traditional aviators with the shields removed.

Horrible voice, trying to sound "posh" but trying too hard 😂
The glass can be retired of the mask ?
The lens separates from the frame on a hinge to allow airflow. See 0:19 for how it works.
@@julboeyewearusayes but the lense can be retired completely of the mask for change it or not ?
@@thomaspicart7887 Apologies for misunderstanding your question. No, the lenses are not designed to be removed from the frames.
do you offer replacement foams? one of my previous seasons Julbos just completely disintegrated on my face whilst trying on a new helmet today. Always stored well (no extreme hot/cold). The mid foam layer crumbled into my eyes. Hugely disappointing... Love those Goggles but now very hesitant to buy another Julbo!
We're sorry to hear this. In general, this would be covered as part of our lifetime warranty. Please reach out to info@julbousa.com and include a photo of your goggles.
I will reach out for certain. Photos will not be useful however. I foam-safe glued the outer foam layer in place on the frame. They do not seal quite as well now but are again usable. If a warranty foam replacement can be had I would be hugely appreciative. That Zebra lens is phenomenal.@@julboeyewearusa
Which goggles to you recommend for winter mountaineering pursuits? Which models do you prefer?
The SuperFlow Pro tech on these goggles virtually eliminates fog, making it a home run for sweatier activities like mountaineering and backcountry skiing.

Finally the best Julbo explanation how works reactive photochromatic lentses and range of light from various categories of Ienes. This help to choose the rights ones for u.I want to mantion that some part of Julbo frame sunglasses(stamp, paint and assembly are made in Romania) this mean good manufacturing.
This model comes with hardcase only or also with cardboard case on top of it?😊
The Edge comes with the zippered hard case features in the video, as well as a cloth bag.
So M stands for small and medium size? Only difference? Same for renegade and renegade M?
That's right. Same goes for the Renegade and (smaller) Renegade M.
I tested the Julbo Ultimate Reactiv Performance 1-3. It did not work at all for me.The lens had a far too bright basic tone and the reactive functionality was not recognisable.
Folks with higher light sensitivity will prefer the REACTIV 1-3 High Contrast, REACTIV 0-3 High Contrast or REACTIV 0-3 lenses, as they have amber or gray base colors.
no thanks. I went with a changeable lens system now. does a better job for me @@julboeyewearusa
I have stumbled across something cool
Indeed you have.
Hello. If you now offer the 0-4 high contrast, why are you still selling the 1-3 high contrast? What is the advantage with the 1-3 over the 0-4??
The 1-3 High Contrast lens transitions more quickly than the 0-4 given that its VLT ranger is slightly narrower. Even so, the 1-3 is great for everyday conditions from overcast to bright sun. The 0-4 High Contrast lens, on the other hand, is ideal if you get into more extreme conditions-either very dark (even nighttime) or extreme brightness like you might find at high altitudes.
Love them 😍
Is the model in this video( th-cam.com/video/36zKQddDnIs/w-d-xo.html ) available? I bought one with the same frame but different lens. The frame and lens are the same as the one shown in your video. But I really like the one Andy Steindl wears in the other video.
The gray/black in that video is not available in the U.S. but is in other countries.
@@julboeyewearusa Thanks for the information. In which country can I find it? And please tell me the exact name of that model. Really like it! Thanks!
@@user-tl4se9ds8l Upon closer inspection, it appears as though the model Andy may be wearing the Dark Gray/Gray Ultimate Cover but possibly with a lens that this model does not come with. In the U.S., we only carry a limited line and therefore do not have a full view of the styles and lens combinations that other countries carry, so we unfortunately can't pinpoint the exact model or what countries may carry it, and we apologize that we cannot provide you this information. Visiting the Julbo international site may help you find which countries stock what models: www.julbo.com/en_gb/
Came to see both glasses on face but this vid failed to show it for fury. Would’ve been also nice to do a side by side comparison since it’s featuring two similar but different glasses. Whats the point of a visual format like a youtube video if you’re only going to verbally describe them? Disappointing video imo.
do they have blue tone when darkened? i returned aerolite due to that. lenses are not gray, are blue tone but i really like the ultimate model
None of our lenses have a blue tint or base color-Light Amplifier lenses have a yellow tint; High Contrast lenses have an amber tint; and REACTIV 0-3 lenses have a gray base.
@@julboeyewearusa thanks but I have had two of them and the gray ones have a blue tone for sure. I returned them. High contrast are perfect but 0-3 could be better with a rose base tint color
Can we expect 0-4 photochromatic lens on these? It would be so useful for early morning to full sun missions in the mountains.
We don't currently have plans to incorporate cat. 0-4 lens into our sunglasses, but given that we already have that technology in Julbo goggles, it could happen in the future.
Update: Our Shield and Shield M are now available in REACTIV 0-4 lenses, though quantities are limited.
How do you buy other lenses. Ive emailed on your site, no response.
Extra lenses will be available at Julbo.com within the next few weeks.
Отлично! Ты один, это тот кто рассказал про Зебра Огонь! Я не хотел покупать красный. Теперь знаю что Зебра огонь только снаруже! Спасибо!

I want to leave a negative review! I bought Julbo glasses with Reactiv lenses in Ukraine. Officially supplied by VUSOTA. Glasses made me happy, bought in the spring and rode a bicycle wearing a mask. I was delighted with the work of the antifog. In the summer, this did not manifest itself in any way, since in the summer, of course, I rode without a mask. In the fall, I put on a mask again and the glasses began to fog up. After several calls, the glasses were taken for the test by VUSOTA (the first call to this company just knocked me down - WHAT ARE YOU CALLING TO US!) I mentioned that I ride with a mask, and after half an hour the glasses fog up. The supplier after a certain test did not reveal anything, everything is normal. I have repeatedly mentioned that this effect appears exclusively in the mask. With full blowing, no glasses will fog up. In general, a huge correspondence lasted already with the manufacturer itself, since the suppliers of Julbo Ukraine, the vusota company, was not competent in this matter. Messages are not answered at all. I mentioned that I am not interested in the return, I need glasses and at the beginning of their use I got great pleasure from the work of the antifog, hoping that the problem with the fogging of the lenses was solved. I didn’t get anything sensible from the manufacturer. The correspondence lasted for two months via e-mail, about 17 letters and Instagram. To anyone interested, I can provide all the correspondence with the manufacturer of these glasses julbo. Regarding the vusota supplier, I have heard from many stores that they relate, as it were, to put it correctly - not care about everyone! Any problem that arises is your headache! Think about this manufacturer and supplier! Happy shopping and making the right choice to everyone.
Well then don’t wear a stupid mask They do nothing anyways They ham were a complete joke
Would the zebra light red goggles work for skiing on really bright bluebird days?
can i use julbo ski goggles after wearing glasses?
In my opinion, the photochromic lens from Julbo is the best on the market, for the price.
Thanks for the information. It’s a little confusing trying to make sense of this due to inconsistent terminology on the site. This video (and the tech section of the site) make use of the Zebra, Zebra Light & Zebra Red terminology. But the product descriptions use Reactiv All Around & Performance descriptions, and don’t always differentiate between the variants (red vs. light). Also, a listing of the base tint would be extremely helpful. For me, gray & yellow tints are non-starters for mountain biking under canopy. I’ve kind of figured it out, but it took a lengthy support chat. I’m also curious about the Reactiv 2-3, which I gather is a copper rose tint. The VLT specs seem to vary between the tech (9-32%) and product pages (9-20%). So basically, would be extremely helpful if the products on the site coordinated with the lens tech section, listed base tints, and enabled you to sort products on a specific lens, not just the lens family
The only page I found that differentiates the Zebra versions is on the Great Britain site, but it doesn't specify what color tints the lenses are like this video does. My understanding is that Zebra is an amber lens, Zebra Light and Zebra Light Fire are yellow, and Zebra Light Red is a reddish tint (guy in video says red and also amber but I don't think it's the same as the regular Zebra). www.julbo.com/en_gb/reactiv-photochromic-technology/
Great information .thank you .life time warranty on reactiv lens .my next pair of flat light googles will be julbo
