Lester will recover. We feed a Raccoon who had a similar injury, (probably worse). We call him Big Kahunar as he is a rather large male. He breathes very loud through his nose, but gets a long just fine. I suspect it was fighting with other males. Don't worry! Lester will be just fine, just a little different and unique!

Raccoons are opportunistic, they see you as a sucker and that’s it, as soon as they eat they’ll get lost. raccoons only have loyalty if there’s grub around and when the foods all gone they’ll buzz off. If there’s no food there’s no hanging around, they move on and go somewhere else.They know enough to realize the food is in your hand and you the supplier, they’ll only come back if you keep feeding them, if that routine stops you’ll not see too much of them.notice they don’t have any loyalty between them, all that growling and scowling amongst them selves, they don’t give a sht about each other. I’ve seen raccoons practically fight to the death over food.they’re temperamental and the mood can turn on a dime, I would never trust them.

Poor Lester! In Italy once we found a cat with problems at his eyes and it was easy and cheap for us to buy drops with cortisone….should you give him some medicine? Antibiotics? Ciao Lester!! 😊😊😊😊😊 come on! Get better! 😊😊

I have that exact same kitchen sink! 😲And coons, as well... they're great to have around and keep the snake population way down and will even catch rodents (though they prefer a marsh mellow... who knew?).

General wisdom has it that we shouldn't feed wild critters, but thank you for sharing the best of your heart with these raccoons. Bless them and you as well.

Awww, 😊 I also have raccoons. I feed that comes in through my window...so sweet.

I fed lots of raccoons also, a few come to my window and I can hand feed them. But I have to try that nose, bumb. ❤
