Eagle Bike Park ~ Last Ride of 2024
...Outdoors that is. Really was a great season. Although I was only about 70-80% myself I feel like so much has been accomplished.
I never realized that losing my quad muscle group in a matter of months would take years to regain.
Undoubtedly what I've faced over the past couple years has tried my patience and resolve.
Lots of work still to be done over the winter months. I have about 2 inches + on the lower part of my quad to rebuild.
Looking forward to snow shoeing this winter. Always looking for new opportunities or doors to open to improve.
Ahhh the never ending journey...

Eagle Bike Park ~ Am I Being Followed?
มุมมอง 653 หลายเดือนก่อน
Curious to see how the 'Unicorn stick' would work. Does almost give that drone like effect of it 'following' you! Though having that weight hanging off the back does create a little neck strain. I'd love to get a drone that will follow you, but the battery life of most are really quite terrible for the price you pay for the unit. If I decide to get a 'less expensive' one then you usually give u...

Found out today my parents were in a horrible car accident. Some asswipes in a 'landscaping' truck ran a red light. Probably a foot or two away from not having parents any longer. So you can say I am 'Feeling Lucky'!
Brundage to Bear Basin ~ The 6.5 Mile Trail
มุมมอง 314 หลายเดือนก่อน
The top to bottom on the Brundage to Bear Basin Trail was pretty epic. Definitely a fun run for that Beginner to Intermediate level rider. There's a couple 'techy' parts at the start that might be a bit daunting for a noob, but the rest of the 6.5 mile run is full of berms and flowy fun! We really couldn't have asked for a better day. Sunny, mid 60s with a breeze. Finished off the day with some...
Bear Basin ~ Lower Drain

Pre-ride...Re-ride...Free-ride. Well, I completed the first two pillars of this philosophy. This is a framework used to warm up to a new trail so that you can ride it safely while having fun too! Since this was our first time visiting Bear Basin and riding this Trail (Lower Drain) it's wise not to just send it. Also, I was about 23 miles into to our ride up then down the Brundage to Bear Basin ...

Got out on the SC Nomad today for some laps. Had Lisa tow me behind the big yellow taxi. Day couldn't have been more awesome! The highlight though was bumping into Mitch Forrest & Michelle Forrest . I forgot to turn my camera off so we spent at least 40 minutes shooting the sh*t. Great seeing you guys and look forward to seeing you rip some laps tomorrow at the track. Get it!

After about 2-3 months of continuous smoke and crap in the air. We were finally able to go out and enjoy a ride without feeling as though I sucked in a smoldering camp fire for 3 hours!

Nice to catch up with Nooney, Dylon and Reese. First time back on the advanced line in almost 2 years. Felt great to get back to par pretty quickly. Then 3/4 of the blue line. Just didn't have enough gas left in the tank to get up on the final wall ride to then finish off the boner log. Next time......
Jug Mountain ~ Doe Joe 🟢
มุมมอง 236 หลายเดือนก่อน
Doe Joe is one of the best 'greens' I've ridden. This trail, for starters, is soooooo long! Goes on forever. I think the best part is the 'corners'. This is a great place to practice that technique. Doe Joe www.trailforks.com/trails/doe-joe/
Jug Mountain ~ Berm & Ernie 🟦

Berm & Ernie is just a fun all a rounder. I think if you're more of a beginner this trail will push you, but to the point that you're overwhelmed. By the end I'm sure you'll be ready to do it again! Pssst, Greg, don't forget to do the rock roll 'to the right' next time 😂 Jug Mountain - Bern & Ernie www.trailforks.com/trails/berm ernie/
Jug Mountain ~ Double Shot ♦️
มุมมอง 486 หลายเดือนก่อน
Double Shot is definitely my favorite run at Jug Mountain in McCall. Though all of the main runs (Doe Joe, Berm & Ernie, and Exfoliator) are all good times, Double Shot has a great balance of difficulty while still being fun! Been almost 2 years since I was here last (21 months) due to my injury. Really missed this place. Great to share the time with Greg and Lisa! Jug Mountain - Double Shot ww...

In this video Greg and I are working on improving our Shake N' Bake runs. Then we finish the day off with a newer trail at Eagle called "Concrete Jungle". There was one section that we scouted and decided to pass on this day. Otherwise we rode all the features of this techy terrain. Lots of fun!

Thanks God you said last ride of 2024. We never say last ride l😅
No, we don't...ever. I'm very careful with those sort of things.
@FlowFinderUSA 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼 yes brother
that first run was the the one I took my very first run on when I was 10 Years old. 51 Years ago. the chairs were just called Chair 2, chair 1, etc...
That's awesome! I'm sure Bogus Basin rd was still a 'dirt road' correct? Must have been sketchy as heck.
@@FlowFinderUSA Amazingly enough it was paved right up to the parking lot, which was Dirt. Chair #6 which is Deercreek was not Built yet. The Map on the Bogus Website still shows the lifts by Number, as well as Name. 😁
The terrain there has so much potential but I found this trail to be a waste of climbing especially getting there from town…..
We shuttled it from Bogus. That's the only way I'd do it again. Plus, it's really an addendum for Dry Creek. I agree overall the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
Love me some shake n bake, I hit it a few times a week when I can, but I shattered my collarbone this August, still under a no crash order but eager to get back to shake n bake.
Me too! It's definitely grown on me. Got a little bit of everything. Oh man, how'd you do that on the bike? Yeah, I understand that. Blew out my knee skiing back in early 23 and still am not right yet. Has really tried my patience.
You have some great skills!
Thanks, Nelson. I really appreciate that! You're always welcome to come out this way.
You were flying dude!
I highly recommend eMTB's. The fun you have is non stop UP and DOWN hill!
@FlowFinderUSA 🙌🏼 I bet
So what bike do you have your eye on?
@@FlowFinderUSA I was thinking of Trek Gen 6 fuel ex 9.6 Also a Pivot. I am sure if I go Carbon this new bike. My budget right now is low
you mean the 9.7 G6? any decent bike these days will be in that 4-6k range. well, you're certainly shooting for the most expensive with a Pivot. an entry level Switchblade is 6399. sweet bikes but lots of other options that have better value.
That is what it looks brother!😮
Huh? Not sure how to respond. Appreciate you checking out the vid. Really want a drone but those are still a ways away from being something I'd invest in. Battery life needs to be much better and a more affordable model that has a proper collision detection system is required.
@@FlowFinderUSA I was talking about the title of the video. "I'm being followed" the video actually looks like someone is following you with that camera angle 😂
Ahhhh got it!
Great riding!
Thanks, man! That feeling of floating is pretty hard to beat.
@@FlowFinderUSA the best
I don't think i have seen the first par?
This was our first time riding this trail. It had been in the works since 09 I believe and was just opened up last year.
This place always gorgeous!
We did catch an amazing day. Pretty soon this will all be covered with snow!
Sweet track. There is a song in Spanish with the same background music "Solo" by Sandy & Papo th-cam.com/video/DqE4FS9OWRE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=loeUyz2AX84ouwfY
Went to check out the Basin Gravity park the other day, such flowy good trails up there!!
Nice! Did you rent DH bikes?
My "home spot". ;). Tony and Garret are legends around here 🤙
I miss that spot. Spent a ton of time there. Jeez, it's been almost 5 years. Need to pay a visit soon! 🤘
The place is huge man! Lots of fun. Did you climb or use a lift? Never mind. I saw you climbing 😅
We have the eMTB's. It's a 6 mile climb to the top of 3 Bears via fire road. That climb you saw was in the lower part of the foothills.
This park is good man!
The 3 main trails are really, really good!
Great encouragement to your friend. I need a friend that makes me feel confident to send big stuff.
Thanks, that's how I roll! Really does help when you have people that are on the same page and supportive.
This trail looks a lot of fun!
It's a good one! Love the road gap.
Omg that Rocky sketchy section brooo you are insane!
There were a few spicy sections. pretty impressive trail considering it all had to be laid out with man power. we decided to save that one gnarly section for another day.
@@FlowFinderUSA very impressive
Huge place. Lot of flow, i like that you are very careful and mindful with other posible hiker/biker coming the opposite direction.
It just goes on and on and on....love it! There are lots of blind corners and when carrying that speed best to give a shout out.
I still have yet to get those two sections on concrete jungle. I know most of that first section is rollable, i've just gotten in my head about it. Nice job!
Hey, thanks man appreciate it! Yeah, it was our first time taking a look at that line. I've definitely done harder stuff, but something about it just wasn't jiving with me or the guy I was with for that matter. Figure, better off saving for another day. If you're ever there and we cross paths say hey! I'm usually on my mint green turbo levo or my new nomad.
Few things are compared to the feeling of a new bike. Enjoy it! Lol you being careful not to scratch the baby lol
You know, I've been so busy I was about to watch one of your vids tonight! Hey, nothing worse than scratching the new car, new bike, new toy, anything right?! I'm sure it will happen at some point...but not that day lol Thanks Nelson I will indeed.
Man looks pretty flowey. What bike you on?
Hey Sean! You guys are in Fla now, right? How's it going? I'm on my Specialized Turbo Levo. Things awesome.
@FlowFinderUSA yes sir, living that Florida life. Looks like you had a great ride
Awesome, man, glad to hear it! Give your family our best 🤙
I was out there too on that IMT demo bike day. Also, I like that line right at the end on the Jump Lines bypassing the intro portion. May give that a go.
Nice...what'd you demo? Thanks, I've done that line a bunch of times complete, but haven't attempted in 1.5 yrs so it's a good place to start. The last one is real steep an lippy. Actually a quick brake check would help to get a better feel.
@@FlowFinderUSA Didn't Demo. Just rode my Scott Genius eRide. The Wife saw a nice Orbea she liked though, wrong size for her to test though.
That is some nice flow trails. That camera angle is so trippy 😅
I'm digging it!
Oh wow you are hitting big stuff now. I am glad you are back on the game.
Thanks, been missing hitting jumps like this for sure.
Welcome back
haha! thanks bud. I've been out just haven't been filming. Spring has sprung! I'll be on the lookout for your vids. Did you hear that they have now permanently closed the bike park at Windham? What a bummer 👎
@@FlowFinderUSA Yes I heard. It sucks. The only close bike park i have
What Warren Miller Movie did you get this idea from? It was ran at the end of one of his movies with a snowboard scene. It brought tears to my eyes.
It's cool you picked that up! I used that CC tune #1 because it was literally the last day of December skiing for me. BUT #2 I was paying a little homage to Warren Miller's 1997 film "Snowriders 2". I grew up watching his movies.
Sweet ride!
Last one of the season...was a good one!
@@FlowFinderUSA are you planning skiing?
Doubtful.
@@FlowFinderUSA Hope you find a way
won't be until next season.
Looks lije Christmas Jersey you are wearing
Ha! Yeah, it's one of those HandUp Christmas 'ugly sweater' jersey's.

Dude I like the thumbnail u used!! Just checked out the new Meridian Bike Park, the place is sweet!
Thanks, buddy! Going to try and stop by that new BP this week. Looks fun!
The thumbnail photo is far out! The best trail in the valley
@noondog first time up there since you and I hit over a year ago! Nooney, we're heading to Eagle tomorrow around noontime if you want to catch some laps. 🤙
Have you ridden this section before. Looks very familiar. How are you doing so far? Btw great job on the skinnies
Yep, been over a year since we did this one. Such an amazing ride! I've been working hard and taking steps everyday. Thanks man...skinnies are great. A mind challenge! How about yourself?
Me out of shape for now. Not riding as much. I have to get out more. The cold weather and rain make not wanting to go for a ride.
Love the way the sheep yield the way to you guys 😂
Last part was scary as f😮
The last part is super exposed. Not much support there if you make the wrong move. Just have focus straight ahead. The sheep were literally sh*tting themselves as we shepherded them out of the way. That was something. Yeah, once the temp drops below 45 I'm pretty much done riding bikes!
BOGUS!!!

Man you hitting jumps now that is awesome! Keep the recovery going big👍🏾🔥🔥
Thanks, bud! I'm pushing a little bit, but know my limitations at this point.
Try the other small drop there, the wooden roller one to the right. If you can do that one, you can do this one no problem. Don’t go fast-for either of them. Pretty much just want coast in.
I need to gain the confidence for that drop as well
Do a walk up and some roll ins. Visualize doing it.
Love to see you outside and being active with the bike! How are you and the recovery? You seem to be much better. 😊
Saw my ortho on Monday. He's very happy where we're at at this point in time. The big thing now is "strength". When you do something like this, the injury heals, but everything else gets screwed up and out of whack.
@@FlowFinderUSA I am glad to hear that! Hopefully with stretching and physical therapy plus exercise the recovery will be a success!
Great video! Bob Seger singing “Staring out at the Great Divide”, “Headed out to my big two-wheeler“, & “Took a bead on the northern plains” - perfect fit.
You nailed it, David. That is the essence I was after. Love this verse: "We rolled across the high plains Deep into the mountains Felt so good to me Finally, feelin' free"
Nice caption dude! You can literally capture anything with that camera 😮 it is so cool how fast you angle and get the right shot at the right moment 💪🏽
Thanks my man! Yeah, love this camera. Being so dynamic you can catch more moments. Isn't that what it's all about!?
@@FlowFinderUSA true💪🏽🙏🏽
i love the omni angle with your new camera
Insta360 got this one right. Gives you flexibility to capture action that you just can't with a traditional GoPro camera.
