Muckross Head

The sunset on 27th February 2021 was without a doubt the most spectacular evening I've ever witnessed at Muckross Head. I was going to sit on this footage until the summer and save it for a bigger project but its just too good not to share, especially as we had Muckross all to ourselves I know nobody else was there to take in the spectacle. Enjoy!

I wonder why the walls are so thick. They almost look like those of a medieval castle. The building to the north looks like a bunker. Maybe there were buildings built there too, on the concrete slab.

My great grandfather and his first wife came from Towney- Kilcar and she from Killybegs. I've not seen Donegal for 22 years. So beautiful.

It didn't prove anything for you as the location they wouldn't name has been mentioned plenty of times in the comments. So if you little "real surfers" as your referring yourself to were learning at surf school to not tell people about locations. That lesson wasn't learned very well by posting on TH-cam were it could be identified.

Narossa surf shop in Dunfanaghy in far north west, and Jaws - another surf shop and school in same small town. they'll sort you out.

this is the best fun break in ireland...quiet...can be big...long rides...spectacular location
can someone please tell me where this is i am an intermidiate surfer shredding a fish and i need to surf bigger waves. These waves are clean and glassy which would work really well for me. Thank you if you do tell me but its okay to keep the spot secret for the locals who dont want it to suddenly overcrowd!!

Absolutely stunning video, I surf myself round Donegal and have just started trying to do videos, but the drone footage blows away anything attached to the board can do. Hopefully you'll keep them coming as that was superb, when I can surf that well I'll hire a drone guy to film me 😂
