มุมมอง 324K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Worf can finally move on. It was a truly great love story that was played perfectly by Michael and Terry.

I felt for Nicole DeBeor, who replaced a larger than life charater like (Jadzia Dax) Terry Farrell. A lot of DS9 viewers were pretty tough on her. I'm glad she went on to another series, The Dead Zzone.

You would think Worf would appreciate a valiant last stand in defense of a noble cause. Or even a valiant last stand in defense of a bad cause. It would appeal to the romanticism of the Klingon fighting spirit.

I love that in the Picard-era Starfleet got off its ass and built an orbital defense capable of even holding itself off for hours. If the Breen had tried to attack Earth in 2402 they would gotten their asses kicked.

Ezri makes an excellent point, both Gowron and K'mpec were willing to let Worf's family take the fall for something they knew wasn't their fault, the Duras family was corrupt and power hungry but they weren't nearly as powerful as the High Council gave them credit for, they murdered K'mpec and tried to usurp Gowron but ultimately the only one who paid for their traitorous ways was Toral!

As good a character as Ezri was. She never should have replaced JAdzia. Trill culture says the new life has to be seperate, yet she fills basically the exact same role JAdzia did a few months earlier.

i watch this whole entire show ever 2 years or so. watching stuff like this makes my want to start the cycle over again early! I finally managed to find other shows like the Expanse but I will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go back to my comfort shows, TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT. They just make me SO happy to watch. I cant explain it.

I really liked the relationship dynamic between Worf and Ezri, how it went from him wanting absolutely nothing to do with her to him and her developing a strong familial brother sister relationship. Almost have to feel sorry for anyone that breaks her heart and have Worf find out about it.

  • @danielk5780

I find it quite interesting in the beginning - Erzi and Worf come back to the station and Ezri only hugs O'Brien. And then she and Bashir stand awkwardly in front of each other for a few seconds until Sisko arrives and breaks the tension. Excellent writing for an early relationship none of the participants really knows where they stand.

Bashir even holds his arms open for a hug from Ezri but she was hoping O'Brien would step between them to hug Worf.

You can tell that when Martok says "... and I am not a politician" with some amount of anger towards Worf for making him one. This is just his payback, making Worf a politician as well, forcing him into the life the he made Martok undergo.

I hated how the movies ignored Worf’s ending in DS9. Going back to just being the tactical officer on the Enterprise was really a step backwards for him

    • @Dysan72
      @Dysan72 2 ปีที่แล้ว

He never re-joined the crew after DS9. They just had convenient excuses for him to be on the ship. First Contact: 2373 He was on the Defiant, and rescued by the Enterprise-E Insurrection: 2375 Was on a separate mission near by and had stopped by the Enterprise to visit old friends. Nemesis: 2379 He had returned to Earth for Will and Deanna's wedding, and was hitching a ride to the second ceremony on Betazed

According to a video that TrekCulture released, Worf tried the whole ambassador role but passed it on to his son to join the crew of the crew of the Enterprise-E. He then later becomes the first officer. After Picard gets promoted to Admiral, Worf becomes captain of the Enterprise-E. th-cam.com/video/6dLkd9V1d1c/w-d-xo.html

I think the series was in such dire need of a ratings boost that it concocted this life interest between Ezri and Bashir. Fortunately we fans didn't have to suffer long since she joined in the last season of the series. I liked the Ezri character but the love interest seemed forced.

When Ezri asked Worf "How many times he had to cover up the crimes of Klingon leaders because he was told it was for the good of the empire?" Really hit hard for Worf, not just he got exiled for siding against the empire during the Cardassian invasion, but he was told to accept discomendation and labeled a traitor and label his father a traitor to protect Duras and by extension the empire.

    • @danielk5780

"Who was the last Leader of the High Council you respect? Was there even one?" is a bit off though, considering that Worf only lived to see two at this point - Gowron of course, and K'mpec, who lead the empire for much of the 24th century.
