@@ei5859 a work which teaches us to live to laugh and to cry can't "cannot be serious". Gintama has been "serious" since the first episode. There is no distinction between serious arc and funny arc, they all just offer a lesson in life in a different way.... But... yes.... seeing Gintoki Takasugi or all the others characters having a hard time breaks my heart. I just want to see them smiling evrytime.
