San Francisco tour company Dylan’s Tours has extended a welcoming invitation to critics of its city.
With the goal of changing the narrative of San Francisco, Dylan’s Tours Founder, Dylan David - a lifelong San Francisco resident, is fed up with what he feels is a narrow and unfair media portrayal.
“Certain people seem to delight in painting a gloomy narrative about San Francisco,” noted Mr. David, “We humbly ask people to visit our magnificent city before passing judgment.”
The commercial begins featuring quotes from the city’s well known critics-Ron DeSantis, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk-set against a backdrop of somber imagery. It then transitions to a veritable buffet of San Francisco attractions beloved by visitors and locals alike.
“Like any major city, we have challenges,” noted David. “We want to remind people that despite these, San Francisco and its surrounding areas remain nothing short of spectacular.
Established in 2003, Dylan’s Tours has grown into an award-winning tour company, featuring a team of passionate guides committed to offering visitors an unscripted, off-the-beaten-path experience of the city. Alongside its signature "Famous Tours," highlighting renowned landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Muir Woods, the company has recently introduced its "Infamous Tours." A keen traveler himself, having visited over 50 countries, it was David’s own passion for travel that inspired him to start a tour guide in hometown. “I went to all corners of the globe to realize San Francisco is the best place on Earth,” he noted. “I want everyone, (especially the city’s biggest critics) to experience that too.”
It's time to put to bed the idea that San Francisco’s best days are behind it. “We’d love to show the Governor (DeSantis) around our city,” noted David with a wry smile. “It’s cleaner than he remembers so he can leave his white boots at home. Or he can bring them, we’re a pretty accepting bunch here.”
