You could have sung it better while playing a Harmonium as most of the notes are out and not tuned in your vocals. That's why you started coughing ! Sitting posture is absolutely not appropriate for a Ghazal of Khansahab Mehdi Hasan Sahab😮.. Not all ghazals are meant to sing by everyone ! Thanks to musicians for saving you throughout!!

There is a huge difference between classical gayeki and Ghazal gayeki. Emphasize on the words according to their meaning. Someone already sang this accordingly. Make something you master in. Satiyanaas ker diya ghazal ka.
