Well about me I'm a light/heavy equipment operator and fruit grower of 28 years and been on the farm all my life.I'm in southern part of British Columbia Canada. I have a passion for growing fruits , tree training and showing equipment for orchard use.. . I like building metal fabrication projects and repairing my own equipment, also have a passion for heavy equipment operation . I guess part of my channel is dedicated to people who have some sort of farms and people who enjoy building or repairing equipment. I always believe that smaller compact tractors and equipment are the best way to farm using less fuel and leaving less of a footprint on the earths surface.
So my channel isn't for everyone but it does have a focus on fruit tree, compact tractors, excavating and building equipment and attachments for your tractor or atv even utv. I used pine needles as straw for my strawberries and works well. I also planted some new varieties of blueberries so we get some cross pollution and see what variety produces more yields in my location .

Attached a hole auger to Kubota L3301 backhoe

This was a easy little project I made an adapter to use mini excavator attachments on the kubota backhoe. The auger will come in handy.

Now I get to test out the black widow drill bits on regular projects. I'll be putting all the drill bits to heavy use and see how the bits perform .

When you have a mixed bag of mister sprinklers you can save a lot of money by making all the nozzle holes the same . Of course if the input hoses are different then you have a expensive problem . So here is my system and a cheap hack .
Easy and cheap irrigation ply hose end caps

This end capping system works great . Just fold 4 inch or more over and put a piece of sch 40 pvc on end of hose . If you use a end cap which you crimp on then you may risk having cracked lines in the winter .
Using Kubota L3301 TBL top soil project

So after installing underground irrigation I always add extra soil to low spots. Being I had a old burning pile with lots of dirt from tree stumps I thought to use my soil screener which works awesome . So I did a dozen trips with kubota L3301 and got about 8 bucket loads of clean dirt. A soil screener is a great tool on a farm . Thanks for watching .I hope to buy a go pro in the near future.
Hobby Orchard update : making raised beds

So I made raised beds for blueberries and strawberries . It wasn't as easy as I thought using monkey mouse ideas but in the end results everything turned out okay .

So I had to knock down some trees to expand out my little farm . Some of the poplar trees were saved to make fencing posts . Everything is coming along fine . The Yanmar Vio 55 was a biut light for what I was doing but the rubber tracks where a huge benefit this time,

Off topic question…any idea where I can buy a replacement drive lever? I broke mine a while back and can’t find a replacement ANYWHERE!
Nice jog George, years ago a neighbor of mine would grow purple plum that got the size of a tennis ball. They were really good too.

Not sure if you’re still giving out advice but I’d like to purchase a flail mower and have 5.5 acres…all woods. I’ll be mulching up a bunch of Asian invasive species and forest debris like autumn olive, winged eunonymous, multifloral rose, Japanese honeysuckle, brambles and limbs as big as I can cut them. Every year the canopy drops limbs and trees and litters the ground. Some places I can’t even get to because the thorn bushes are so tall and thick. Any idea on which hammer would be the best for my application? Thank you.
Hi I suggest the large heavy duty hammers helps beat down the brush better . Hope that helps.

I also crack them open with a vice but I hold the kernel between 2 fingers of one hand while I turn the vice handle with the other hand. That way the kernel does not burst into pieces: it just cracks at the "seam" and then I can easily open it with a knife.

i have mine set up at similar height, no problem refilling, heat circulates well the ground level and to at least head height.

The purpose of the video is you can pull a electric brake trailer on a air brake truck with a electric brake controller . We used the older style electric brake controller on our company trucks .I thought it would make some good content for someone who understood trucking .

I have a small Kabota too. I was going to lower my ROPS but decided not to. The reason they are so high is to keep the tractor from rolling over. If the tractor tips, the ROPS should come down ground and stop the tractor from tipping or rolling. Yes, it's a pain in the but to get in/out of the garage. I do have a lean-to that I think I can park under - so I'll use that. I prefer inside storage - but the lean-to will do.
Well its your decision to chop the roll bar or not . I think the pivot point on the roll bar is still to high even though its installed at mid point of bar. If you find that your tractor is tippy maybe you need liquid in your tires front and rear.
