I wonder how good a symmetrically built dirt car IRL would do when it comes to stage rallies.
Remember when that one guy's straight axle late model put 2 laps on an entire field and the yuppies banned it with lies and propaganda a week later? Pepperidge Farms remembers. Good race, though. These cars sound great and remind me of the Gen 4 and 5 cup cars.
Been on Fire glad I had gloves on
❤bbbh
It'd be interesting to see who would be fast and what speeds if tires were half as wide. It most certainly would take more talent than unlimited wallet!!!
The car you watched in the video only has a 8” tire. So I’m not sure how they could get smaller. And we don’t have an unlimited wallet.
@@tjrousht8 my bad my small screen on my phone I thought they were late models, that is impressive in a mod. My eyes are getting bad in my old age lol
So long as it keeps him busy
Rolling thunder ⚡
They seem like it's no big deal that the track is wet. Do they wet the track down or was it raining?
They wet the track down and pack it in
I seen 113
Drive it like ya just stolen it😂😂😂
Thank you, for the Compass. So many MPH's, i became disoriented and forgot where i was.
Boy was that track smooth. Like crunchy peanut butter. 😅🤣 Car looked good strolling around that track.
That track looks to unstable for speeds like that
That is exactly like my moms z28 camaro
no gloves? that's insane man.
Somebody is itchin', for a Gynecologist.
@@ihavefallenandicantreachmy2113 what
Okay gotta ask 🤣, I lived in that area my entire life. For whatever reason why do the local guys hate the track so much due to its size? They all want to race the tiny tracks where it’s nearly impossible to actually race it seems like from the stands anyway. Wouldn’t the bigger tracks like this be more fun? I for the life of me cannot figure out why they hate the bigger tracks. The small ones just seem to tear the cars up more because there’s more crashes. Any thoughts or your own opinions?
Most guys will tell you they don’t like it cause it harder on equipment then smaller tracks. It kinda is. But the same time it’s 30 thousand for a new motor for a modified these days threw a good builder. And 30 to 50 thousand for a new car. And most of the time you wreak at a smaller track it bolt on stuff. You wreak there it usually toast. Back when they got cars all the time 10 grand would get you a hell of a car. But not now days. You ask 8 out of 10 drivers that’s what there going to tell you! I mean we still took our car and it’s a fun place to race. I hope that place stays alive and I wish cody nothing but the best of luck. I like the speed planet!
@@tjrousht8 ah okay that makes sense! I’ve been seeing some back wrecks at the smaller tracks like skyline and Tyler county too. Been toasting some cars. But you’re right the big track is very fast so you screw up there it’s over. Yeah the prices of them now are insane, I’ve looked into super lates and mods both and it’s insane. The track payouts are too small for the amount you guys have in the cars. I love watching them, have been since I was a kid. My dad raced some before I was born and my great uncle was some sort of manager or something at skyline when I was a kid. I’d love to race myself but man way out of my price range sadly. WV has some great potential I just hope he’s smart with it. Have to wait and see what happens
Big tracks are hard on motors because of high RPM on the straightaways for a longer time . Our motor has to be rebuilt every 1200 laps if we ran there every week it would be wore out in about 400 laps
That place is just awesome...but the in car.....is INSANE!!!! MAN that's movin!!!!
😢
Prove to me there’s a sound as beautiful as an a piston powered engine spinning at 7000 rpm’s! Ear candy! 😊
Going there on september 9th with crsa
Finally back on your channel good to see you're still recording keep up the good work
That car is tighter than Tobies ass.
I was there years ago and seen supers they were flat out haulin ass
My dad use to race these types of cars
What set up you running
Just standard with a soften right front and left rear spring. Is what I like to do.
@Tj Roush I'm new to it still trying to figure out the lines and the set ups no matter what I do I'm still slow
@@tjrousht8 how do I go about softening the right front and left rear spring
Go to the little wrench 🔧 beside your car. Click edit setup and click the rf spring and turn it down on the little slider thing that will pop up and click the LR spring and do the same.
No gloves?
Didn't realize it was fake until near the end. Damn those graphics are getting good these days
what are you talking about moron?
Why you think it's fake
You watch a video like that and get bit by the racing bug, it starts messing with your mind.
That's gettin it done
Nice ride
When I practice on a track and get my time on that track..then I go and do a time trail on the same track for a race I always have a slower time but run just as good doing the time trail as I do practing..why is that??
What's the trick to getting so fast
They need let some open Outlaw karts out there . We would go slow I promise 🤠😉💪
Thank's. Used to love watching the DIRT Modifieds run the NJ NY Penn tristate short bullrings. Even better were the 1/2 mile and bigger tracks like Middletown, Fonda. Flemington, Syracuse. But the bullrings... they separated the big buck guys from the built on a wish and a prayer guys. Loved the tracks like Grandview (PA), and Accord (NY). Crewed on a couple of low buck cars back in the early 60's and into the early 70's. No big haulers either. Either open trailers or in the case of a few cars flat towing to the track.
358 Modified?
Ump modified
At mountain in momas 100 race
When i was there years ago when it was 5/8 mile there were doing over 130 to 140 range flat out flyin
its still a 5/8 mile and what class of cars are you taking about?
Super lates
137 is track record in a sprint car.
This isn’t a sprint car tho
I saw 112 pop up on the speed
Why so many ruts?
First race back on it in several years.
Is this a open wheel?
Yes Ump modified
Might have been a sport mod
Damn that track is fast. Looks like a USAC silver crown state fair track somewhere. Wonder how big this track is.
It’s a 5/8
@@tjrousht8 thanks for that info. Great size of track.
WVMS is one of our tracks up in the north western part of West Virginia and it’s probably the fastest track in the nation but it’ll make The butterflies set into your stomach and your hands right before you go out there to either hot lap or heat race or qualify because we used to run our late model up there back in the day but it will stretch an engine apart and That’s why we didn’t run up there very often
I saw a 113. That's a big track
Length and girth right! Track is extremely long
BLAAAEEEWWW GET TO DA CHOPPA!
This might not be 200 mph nascar fast but I would love to see one of them throw it on at 110 mph they would absolutely shit them selfs
Really?! Most of them came from dirt! 😂
Most of them have already been doing this before they came to Nascar.
Dang...track looked awfully rough to be starting a race night on.
no it didnt.

Only problem when you do this at my local track is you get pelted with chunks of dirt that hurt like hell.
Took my new girlfriend to Hanover in PA and started her down toward 4. She was French frying and oblivious so I sort of dropped back a little (she’s a fry hound) I saw some guys smiling cause hot laps were about to start. Her first race, ever, and fry-trating. She was almost there when they threw green. Mud chunks rained down, she turned, stared, then all the guys were trying to suppress laughing but…..didn’t happen. One guy asked me “first race?”. She started to laugh and said “you owe me another fry.” She married me anyway. Anniversary is in 8 days, 34 years. She’ll want fries. Annnddd…..believe it or not her last name was…….Fries. Yes, I’m serious, truly truly.
Same here. I go to Sycamore Speedway, but hell, beer tastes better with dirt in it.
So much tuning confuses me. How is the basic person supposed to know how to correctly tune? Lol
Hauling the mail! 💯
Driving any type of race car without gloves just seems like a really dumb decision.
You're opinions is dumb.
agreed
I come here just to read the pansy comments about no gloves
What the hell are gloves going to do for you other than stop a blister? It’s not going to keep your wrist from getting broken.
@@derickdoveglass Fire protection... But to me it's a personal driver preference.. I don't get these folks that get bent out of shape when they see someone not wearing any.
