Custom cruiser finished, shimmy damper demo
This is a demo for my shimmy damper setup. This was designed to mitigate some of the negative handling characteristics of the 45 degree rake.

Custom cruiser finished, headlight demo

This is a quick demo of my Loomenade Halo headlight. I relocated their switch from a bar mounted bracket into my upper triple tree. I eliminated 95% of the wire harness so that the wiring would be clean with no extra wires. I also machined some of the heat fins off the back of the light to create a flat spot and a small shelf to mount the battery to.

Closeup view of my frame. Cleaned up all welds, filleted all joints, painted and cleared. Almost ready for reassembly.
Custom cruiser build, shimmy damper setup

I needed to design, fabricate, and install components to implement a shimmy damper setup in an effort to reduce some of the flop out of my steering. It works great! Still to do: fabricate and install a skid plate for bottom of frame, final breakdown for cleanup, paint and reassembly.
My custom cruiser bicycle build

Decided to design and build my own cruiser bicycle. I still have a few more things to wrap up, but wanted to go ahead and post this for now. To do: maybe handlebar swap, fabricate and install skid plate for bottom of frame, final breakdown for cleanup, paint and reassembly. Special thanks to Mark D from Sutter Street Cruisers and Chris Burke from CBURKE Customs for all the support.
Nice build
Thanks. I finally finished it earlier this year. Ended up changing out the handlebars. I have a few updated video walk arounds on my channel if you care to check them out.
Where did you get the shifter post?
Boxcars
Очень красиво исполнено, продумано в деталях. Сбалансированная модель.
Большое спасибо за комплимент. Я потратил почти два года на его создание, поэтому у меня было достаточно времени, чтобы все обдумать.

This is what a lowrider bike looks like in 2094
Lol, thank you!
Wow, great looking bike, are those joints brazed or have you dressed/filed the welds, like the seamless smooth look. 👍
Thank you very much! I wish I could braze. I dressed/filled the welds. It's mostly metal. I used a dremel to knock down the high spots, then JB weld to fill in the low spots. Sanded everything out with a dowel rod to get the right radius. Took me about 3 months to get the welds all right and to get the frame fully primed. But that is with me only getting to work on it about 5-6 hours per week.
@@TheRealCaptainHook I wish I could too!You must have spent quite a bit of time doing that, but well worth it. Keep up the great work!
@@rollingsculpture2413 Thank you. Yes, LOTS of time indeed. Almost 2 years from start to finish. Estimated about 500-600 hours build time. But I work slow.
Espectacular félícitaciones
Muchas gracias. Espero que digas los videos completos.
What brand is the chainring?
It's from Lawless. Comes in polished aluminum finish. I painted mine to go with the paint scheme.
Came out sweet.
Thank you very much.
Beautiful 🤩
I’m curious why do you need a damper does it really help?
Good question. These are actually meant for a motorcycle or scooter which benefit from a shimmy damper. I basically repurposed them for a slightly different use. 45 degrees of rake plus the big fat front tire makes the wheel want to flop over. These help keep the wheel from doing that. Plus I actually set them up to double as bump stops so that the fork or triple tree don't bang on my frame when locked out.
Niiiiice, did you make the headlight yourself or did you buy it? I have about four myself I buy from this headlight builder for my stretch cruisers.
Thank you. I got it from Loomenade. They are designed for a Super 73 ebike. I modified it in many ways (listed in description) to make it work. I quite pleased with how it turned out, and the functionality of it. The look matches what I was going for. Let me know if you have more questions about it.
Tremendoo
Thank you!
How does someone look pedaling it is the question
Haven't been able to get any video of it in motion yet. I'll post it if/when I get it.
Wow! If Paul Sr. from Orange County Choppers designed a bicycle, lol totally Rad! Do you plan to go electric? That too would be dope. Awesome build bro 👍👊
Thank you. I was strongly considering doing something electric with this build. The main reason I decided against it was just that this was actually my first build, and I didn't want to get too complicated with it. I had a few other ideas that I nixed for the same reason. Wanted to keep this one as simple and clean as possible. But maybe on a future build...
great
Thank you!
This was made for a rap video or something!
Lol, I have no idea what to say to that. That's funny though. Thanks?
If I managed to even get that off my driveway, the speed bumps on my road would ensure that my riding world goes only 50 meters in either direction 😭
Believe me, I have the same problem here. Literally can't ride it out the driveway, then there's the potholes. If you look carefully about the first 10 seconds of the video you can see that I actually have a skid plate on the bottom of the frame for this very reason. The skid plate is contoured to the frame and also painted white, so it's difficult to see.
I had to screen-shot and zoom in to even see the skid plate!. That is an amazing stealth install that fits invisibly. Beautiful
I wanted to protect the frame, but I also didn't want it to be ugly or overly obvious. But even with the skid plate I'm still overly cautious and I try to not bang it on anything, even though that's what it was designed to do, lol.
Amazing
Thank you very much.
🤜🏽🤛🏽 Sick ass bike! Well done 👍
Thanks! Not sure if you've seen them, but I have several other videos that show the rest of the bike.
WHOA!!! Bruh.... this is so insane
Lol, thanks! It was a fun project.
